Offaly and Dublin joined Kilkenny and Galway in the Leinster U20HC semi-finals following quarter-final victories over Laois and Wexford respectively last evening.

Adam Screeney hit 0-15 as holders Offaly enjoyed a surprisingly comfortable 1-28 to 2-9 win over Laois at Glenisk O'Connor Park.

In a near flawless display, Leo O'Connor's highly-rated side raced into a 0-8 to 0-1 lead after just eight minutes and were out of sight by half-time when they led 0-18 to 1-4, with the Laois goal coming from Cormac Byrne late in the half.

Byrne's second major and a Cormac Hogan brace of points reduced the deficit to seven points after the restart, but that was as good as it got for the visitors as Offaly grabbed the next four points before Dan Bourke netted late on.

Diarmuid Ó Dúlaing shot 0-9 as Dublin defeated Wexford 0-18 to 0-14 in the other quarter-final at Parnell Park.

With Sean Rowley accurate from frees, the visitors were two points up before a Neil Hogan effort and a Rowley brace sent the hosts into the break with a 0-9 to 0-8 lead.

It continued to be nip-and-tuck after the restart, but Dublin found an extra gear in the closing stages when scores from Ó Dúlaing, Ollie Gaffney and Brendan Kenny (two) sealed their last-four spot.

A draw will take place on Thursday to determine the semi-final pairings.
