Cavan's players celebrate after capturing the county's first Ulster SFC title in 23 years

The 2021 Ulster senior football championship draw has taken place this evening.

Broadcast live on RTE’s Six One news programme, the teams were drawn by Ulster GAA president Oliver Galligan.

Last year's winners Cavan, who ended a 23-year wait by dethroning Donegal at the Athletic Grounds back in November, will take on Tyrone, under the new management team of Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher, in the pick of the quarter-final ties.

The semi-finals may see a renewal of the Cavan-Donegal rivalry but Declan Bonner's men will have do it the hard way if they are to claim a third Anglo-Celt Cup in four years after being drawn against Down in the preliminary round.

The victors in the opener between Donegal and Down will meet Derry, while Armagh face Enda McGinley's Antrim and Monaghan meet neighbours Fermanagh on the other side of the draw.

Dates and venues will be announced at a later date.

Ulster SFC preliminary round: Down v Donegal

Ulster SFC quarter-finals: Derry v Down/Donegal; Armagh v Antrim; Monaghan v Fermanagh; Tyrone v Cavan

Ulster SFC semi-finals: Derry/Down/Donegal v Tyrone/Cavan; Armagh/Antrim v Monaghan/Fermanagh
