Are u serious ye want an Oram man for the monaghan senoir manager role? You would need to tell what colour Oram wears. Players be hearing big toms classics before games and all due respect that wouldn't pump up the players. WE NEED EOIN LENNON FOR THE COUNTY MANAGER AND GET NIALL MC KENNA(CMcManus succesor) INTO THE SQUAD and make him our key foward along with our leader Mick Bannigan

Not sure what Monaghan people think but from the outside it seems a strange move to push out Bannigan. Took over a team at a low ebb, major transition from the old guard, in hind sight great move bringing in Andy Moran, promoted with style from Div 2 in first year, two All Ireland QFs in a row, has had to deal with injuries to key men and blood young lads. And a Monaghan man through and through. Didn't look like major surgery needed at all, get in another shrewd coach like he did with Moran. McConville not an option now anyway. Is David Mc Cague that good of a manager. When he was with the u20s they were shocking poor. Awful style of football. You could drag a man out of the Pub to manage Scotstown and their still going to win the championship. Whole different story when your playing tough games week on week and not being at the same level as the opponent. Farneyarmy2013 (Monaghan) - Posts: 57 - 02/09/2026 11:56:36 2692388 Link 3 |

Couple of challenge games in pre-season.. Loved his style of play and cavan mightve beat him by 30 points, or so, but in the antrim game it was only a few points between the sides. He is developing a style of play which takes some time to establish, but could soon propel our boys to Ulster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree the jury is still out. the loss to kilcoo in 2024 for scotstown was pathetic. nobody to blame except management - team was set up all wrong against a side who everyone knew was a fast running based game - they ran straight thru scotstown...cant blame players because everyone knows how good a team scotstown is and they proved it by beating kilcoo etc in 2025... losing to kilcoo in 2024 would be excusable but i dont think getting hammered by them was.. as i say they made it right in 2025 but i dont want a manager who needs 2 attempts to win an important game MalsBalls (Monaghan) - Posts: 291 - 02/09/2026 13:56:12 2692411 Link 0 |

I'm a strong believer that the minor championship should be restructured... Straight knockout should be the way, group stages give young devloping lads alot of wear and tear, lads that are also usually playing seniors or u16s simultaneously.
