In Div 2, Ballymahon, Killashee and Killoe White all on 4 points with Ballymahon and Killashee having the least number of walkovers AND better score difference involving only the 3, that looks like 2 Killoe teams relegated. So much for orchestrating a result liosbreac6265 and Spinx. Time to put the tin foil away for a few weeks anyway. botheyesclosed (Longford) - Posts: 159 - 16/07/2026 09:39:10 2685915 Link 0 |

Ballymahon stay up and the 2 Killoe teams go down!!! Spinx (Longford) - Posts: 1582 - 16/07/2026 09:49:23 2685917 Link 0 |

Killoe expected Killashee to beat Ballymahon, hence the walkover given by the Green team. They didn't expect Killashee and Ballymahon pulling an uno reverse card out lol Spinx (Longford) - Posts: 1582 - 16/07/2026 10:44:35 2685923 Link 0 |

Championship time. I'm going to side with the Longford Leader on this one and predict Clonguish to win it comfortably. Colmcille will be strong and will probably make the final but come up short again. Killoe will do well in the group stage, but go out at semi-final. Beyond that I think Dromard will do much better than many think. It's a battle to keep clear of relegation playoff for the rest. I can't believe you are predicting Clonguish! Understrength Killoe were very impressive in dismantling a decent Mullinalaghta side last night. What happened with the Division 2 walkover? Some clubs have gotten heavy criticism here over the years for giving walkovers in games with less meaning than a relegation playoff liosbreac6265 (Longford) - Posts: 297 - 17/07/2026 09:57:16 2686014 Link 0 |

Hahahaha 'Clonguish to win it comfortably'......we haven't won it since 2009. Our team is still practically a squad of kids not long out of minor. Football has changed drastically since the 2010's when a new team on the block could go out and win a championship with fitness and skill. Nowadays a lot of it has to do with physicality as well as those 2 Imentioned. Our lads will still take another year or 2 to fully develop as men....compared to your Killoes and Colmcilles who have a majority of lads in their late 20's early 30's who are fully developed. For me, although only 2 points in it at the end last night, Killoe are the team to beat. Mullinalaghta were at full strength but Killoe have 4 or 5 lads to come back into that team. Killoe will sleepwalk it to the final. Senior: Killoe to beat Colmcille Intermediate: Mostrim to beat Connollys Junior: Ballymore to beat Kenagh Frank74 (Longford) - Posts: 226 - 17/07/2026 10:28:27 2686018 Link 0 |

Playing Div 2 will not make a button of difference to Dromard. Sure didn't Colmcille reach a County Final from Div 2? Spinx (Longford) - Posts: 1582 - 17/07/2026 12:00:18 2686040 Link 1 |
