Poor old Ramos must be wondering what he has to do. Probably wait for a certain 40 year old to retire. Came on and scored the winner against Croatia, but with Portugal in need of a goal, he doesn't get a minute. Even if Ronaldo had to stay on, surely Ramos had to get thrown in there.
Spain were the better team overall, but some of their attacking players weren't at their sharpest.

Despite our massive injury list.
Great comeback by our lads.
That is our 6th win in a row over the Aussies.

Next up for us is Japan on Sat."
Great result after this never ending season. Especially with so many injuries. Overall a great day of rugby hopefully standard can be maintained over next few weeks.

Trump left with egg on his face once more. His silly antics got Belgium fired up as they hammered the USA team.

For once I agree with you Portugal definitely could have won that game if they took their chances.
Not convinced about Spain....they had luck v Uruguay 1-0, luck v Portugal 1-0 couldn't beat Cabe Verd 0-0.
Semi Finals
France v Belgium
England v Argentina
I'll do one more bet.....Argentina qualify v Egypt, Colombia qualify v Switzerland, France qualify v Morocco, England qualify v Norway, Belgium qualify v Spain and Argentina to get to Semi Finals.

Trump's meddling and making himself the centre of everything as usual worked a treat for the USMNT!
Belgium had looked like a bit of a rabble of a team up until now, bar an astonishing late turnaround against Senegal.
But they took to the field like men possessed last night, and predictably demolished an average enough American team.

Nail biting stuff, sadly Portugal seemed to have played the entire game with 10 players, they also lost their outstanding player Numo Mendes early in the second half, his replacement Semedo is a completely different type of player, not comparable.

If Spain cannot score their gift-wrapped chances, can't see them getting to the final.

Good enough for them, won't matter to Trump anyhow. You couldn't shame that lad. He'll probably try to hold on to the World Cup after he presents it in a few weeks and present it to the US team. The whole world laughs on.

I think Colombia could be the wildcard team on that side of the draw. They'll probably have too much for Switzerland and they won't fear Argentina.

My tips..

Argentina v Egypt - Argentina
Colombia v Switzerland - Colombia

France v Morocco - France
Spain v Belgium - Spain
England v Norway - England
Argentina v Colombia - Colombia

France v Spain - Spain
Colombia v England - England

Spain v England - Spain

Sick of Spain I am...never liked them or their la liga league.....I'm more old fashioned Classic golazio 90's Italian Football nut.
Colombia and Norway have been beautiful to watch and in a ideal world I would love to see Colombia v Norway and Belgium v Morocco World Cup Semi Finals!!!

Yeah it would be fantastic to see a non-traditional team go all the way.
I just get the feeling that when those types of teams reach the quarters they subconsciouslessly relax into a bit of a "job-done mode", whereas teams like Argentina, France and Spain have the tradition of winning big tournaments.

It'll be an interesting couple of weeks now.
