Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "If the senior half back line is taken to the cleaners by Cork in early July, it won't be because of what happened to this year's minors and 20s.

No, it'll more likely be due to a perceived pace mismatch between a largely experienced, but one paced (in spots certainly) Galway rearguard, up against one of the fastest front8s that hurling has seen for awhile, in this current Cork side."
I think the point maybe is more the alarming fact that there is a huge shortage of defensive players at U20 and Minor that look like they will step up to Senior. They will be needed when our brilliant servants call time.

Not just a shortage of defensive players at minor and U20. Where are the forwards disappearing to when they meet the Munster teams???

If those u20 teams met 10 time Clare would win every time.they were simply better..as they were as minors..

Seem to have pulled Rabbitte, Burke, Neary and Niland from the wreckage of the last few u20 campaigns, so it'll be interesting to see if any of them go well in July v Cork.............or Offaly.

While I'd love to see a Galway v Clare All Ireland it's hard to see past Cork and Limerick. I just hope we do much better than Offaly did v Cork.

We are a far better team than Offaly, it's a low bar to simply hope we put up a better show than them

I'm confident we can be competitive anyway. To actually get over the line I think a fair bit will have to go our way. If we had rory Burke and daithi at 100% I'd say we have a great shout but both seem to be unlikely

Heading to the Croker on Saturday.

Will hopefully be closer than many suggest in thinking that we'll be hammered.

Hopefully the Burke's are grand for the game, Daithi moreso. I'd assume that John Fleming and Fintan Burke possibly start in place of them.

Going for optimistic prediction of a 2 point win for us.

Dublin landed two goals in the Leinster Final when Daithí went off and Fintan came in.....Cork are a different animal

I know Cork are a different prospect. Those 2 goals happened when the game was over as contest in injury time.

Getting set for an absolute cracker of a All Ireland Semi Final between Galway v Cork.
Galway have a fine team with a good mix of youth and experience and are well able to match Cork man v man.all over the field.
Cork might have the legs but Galway definitely are more physical and have the skills to hurt Cork.
I'm loving the situation Galway are in......no talk, nobody gives them a chance, 4 weeks off, Cork apparently Getting ready for the All Ireland Final.
I can feel the mother of all ambushes coming.......Galway to win by 2pts.

Hope your right but to be honest cant see ye holding the cork forwards and dont think ye will get enough balk into your forwards to cause damage.we will alsk have to wait to see what Galway turns up.

It's funny down our way here in south Mayo…there's always been a gra for the Galway hurlers. My local bar would have Galway flags up supporting the Galway hurlers and when ye won in 2017 the whole pub was roaring for Galway….a bit different when it comes to football for obvious reasons but we'd always support the Galway hurlers. As I said previous…best of luck on Saturday evening.

Really looking forward to Sat evening. All the questions hopefully answered. Will Cork have the legs, are Galway more physical, has the poor Leinster championship created a false dawn for Galway, will Cork ***** in their shorts again in croke park, are Galway ready for a battle hardened team from munster.... bring it on.

We were given no chance in '75 and won. Again in '85 Galway were dismissed as no-hopers but won. Galway to deliver some 4th of July fireworks. Best of luck to the lads

No Rory Burke which is a big loss.....definitely need big games from Lee and Kileen at midfield and Cathal Mannion needs to bring last year's outstanding form with him.
Monaghan, Rabbitte, Whelan, Niland can produce the goods.
The backs look good as a unit and I'd be happy they will do their job

Last time we're deemed as big favourites for a game in Croke Park they got embarrassed....
