I think we should start with the team that beat Galway. I think R. Heneghan deserves to start people don't always see his work rate off the ball. All the best for Saturday, up the Ross. Towny10 (Roscommon) - Posts: 25 - 12/06/2026 01:56:47 2679070 Link 0 |

Hard one to call tomorrow. Enda is a huge loss. It's time for daire cregg to stand up and put in a massive performance. We will need him more than ever tomorrow

Enda a huge loss for tomorrow. I've a bad feeling about this game. No real pressure on Monghan as they've yet to put in a full 70 min performance and haven't been far off in any of their games. O'Hanlon appears to be fit too which is not good news for Ros. He's a seriously dangerous baller. Fingers crossed we get the job done but it'll not be easy. It'll be very disappointing if the season peters out tomorrow evening. Ros Comáin abú ComainRos (Roscommon) - Posts: 175 - 12/06/2026 16:09:52 2679168 Link 0 |

All teams have to deal with injuries. Look at the players Kerry are missing. It's been a great season so far but If Roscommon are serious about going places, we should beat Monaghan.

Enda Smith is a big loss tomorrow but we probably have our strongest panel in a number of years to deal with it. (I hope someone has being practicing penalty kicks?) letsgetgoing (Roscommon) - Posts: 917 - 12/06/2026 21:50:02 2679187 Link 0 |

Very fair assessment of the key matchups. I dont think Monaghan have the stomach for another extra time or another big fightback to be honest, only so many times you can go that route in a season. Bobby McCauls injury has taken a very significant toll on morale. My hunch is we will know quite early on how the game will go. The head says Ros could get themselves 6 or 7 ahead by 50 mins and they will be able to hold that advantage against a psychologically tired Monaghan. For Monaghan to win they will have to get out in front and bring Ros down the stretch from a leading position. Safe travels to Clones, always a good tussle between two footballing teams. A season which promised so much with Connacht titles at the three grades is now over. The first side to exit the All ireland race. I wonder should they have forfeited the Connacht title for better preparation for the AI series. After the successful league campaign, we should have had one eye on the AI series. After all the earlier success, played two and lost two in the big race. Jack L (None) - Posts: 3218 - 13/06/2026 18:28:04 2679297 Link 0 |

Hard luck. I hate how much Roscommon under perform outside of Connacht. I can only imagine how disappointing it is for Roscommon supporters. galwayfball (Galway) - Posts: 1714 - 13/06/2026 18:33:13 2679300 Link 1 |

Absolutely abysmal. You'd have to question what they have they been doing the past few weeks to be that bad. Rozzies (Roscommon) - Posts: 5 - 13/06/2026 18:40:27 2679302 Link 0 |

Firstly well done to Monaghan and any of their posters on here. Fully deserved their win and good value for their 9 point win. The_analyser (Roscommon) - Posts: 4399 - 13/06/2026 19:00:37 2679309 Link 3 |

It's just so annoying to see a performance like that when it really matters. We need to look at what the hell is our problem when it really matters. No shape plan or intensity to our play today. No leaders on the pitch. It was embarrassing watching that. Mark dowd needs to really look at our mentality and get to the bottom of why we can't perform when it really matters. dave1988 (Roscommon) - Posts: 1418 - 13/06/2026 20:45:46 2679346 Link 0 |
