Replying To Gantric:  "A true Leitrim man wouldn't have to ask that question, of course it was that amazing FBD win. Other counties could only hope for such a victory.

Onto Wexford and my sources tell me there are 12,000 tickets sold so far, Leitrim people are really getting behind this quality team."
Official capasity is 9,331. So I guess 3,000 people will just have to go home or maybe to the pub to drown their sorrows.

Don't listen to the windup non serious contributors.

The numbers attending will be modest.

Update Barry McNulty out of Wexford game. Local reports suggest Wexford at full strength but our performance against Carlow gives cause for hope. Also good news that Paul Keaney played a full part in training this week. No other changes envisaged & all County squad withdrawn from Club games this weekend to avoid further injuries. Finally talk of 9000 at game a joke. There was 5,000 at Galway game which was impressive. Can't see too many traveling from Wexford 1,000 at best? 3,000 from Leitrim?

Replying To ohwow:  "Perhaps you are too young to remember or just don't attend any games chief. 2006 Connacht championship v Mayo. They just beat us by a point. Attendance 12,445.

You need any other assistance you let me know."
12,445. Now, that's a decent crowd for a Leitrim football match.

Won't be close to a 1000 from here. Will try make it up myself, looking good right now, fingers crossed.

Replying To Tacaí Liatroma:  "No. Every one of the Leitrim supporters on this forum acknowledges the great strides we've made under Steven Poacher in the past 14 or 15 months or so; we've come a long way from that regrettably abandoned game against Fermanagh to putting it up to Galway and the defeating Sligo for the first time in an age and reversing the hammering we got against Carlow. But "strong standing in the province"? A bit more respect and respectability maybe, for sure. But we're not deluding ourselves. We still lost to Galway and Down in this year's championship.

About Carlow: I regret any needle between our two proud and often downtrodden footballing counties. When Carlow got promoted from Division 4 in 2018, the goodwill towards them, nationally and in Leitrim, was enormous. Carlow had been in Division 4 since the four-division was brought in for 2008, and Leitrim joined them the following year, where we languished for about ten years. Leitrim escaped from Division 4 the year after Carlow. We both made instant returns to the basement, but we've both won promotion again since then. Counties like ours should be enjoying a friendly rivalry and urging each other on."
No bad feelings for most down in Carlow against Leitrim. These things happen sometimes when teams play each other very soon in important matches. We won the league match and Leitrim won the Tailteann match. Honours even.

Plus we had Stephen Poacher down in Carlow and we know the passion and tactics he brings. No complaints in Carlow when we beat Kildare and gave Monaghan and Dublin decent games.

Leitrim suffer the most of all counties from migration and loss of players. Similar to the small pick of players we have.
We have much more in common with you lads than differences. Plus we have Wicklow and Leix to dislike so we've no time for a new county on that list.

Good luck against Wexford, home advantage gives you a great chance.

Any word on Killian Gaffey, I'm hearing he has a very serious shin injury? Anyone able to confirm?
