It was terrible. As was posted earlier, the striking thing was the lack of large amount of Dublin kids there last weekend. Very few families, and even the hoards of teenagers banging the drums and bodhrans was missing. The atmosphere on the Hill was quite muted. And as someone who goes to club games in Dublin, the attendances in Parnell Park are abysmal most of the time also. The kids and teenagers will lose interest very quickly, if not already….! A hell of a lot more interest in soccer in Dublin. And this is the sport which is on the up by the looks of it. Would not worry bout it really.We always had the bandwagon fans who came for the craic.Met lots of lads over the years that did not know the rules or the players.They will be back again for the good days.We have a good hardcore fan base that travel to all the matches and they are the real fans .I stopped going to the hill because of some of our own idiots and some other county idiots also.While there are alot of great fans on the Hill,it does attract the idiots that know nothing about gaa.I notice that the fans that pay for the stand seem to be genuine fans and know their stuff. brayballer (Wicklow) - Posts: 582 - 22/05/2026 15:12:23 2674648 Link
