Disappointed to hear some negative statements and lack of enthusiasm in some areas of north Westmeath about tomorrow game, people not interested in heading up and saying they will be well bet, Westmeath really dosent help itself with hurling / football divide. Ticket sales a bit sluggish still, expected to be around 40,000 but still hadnt broke 35,000yet. Drop off in dublin support is crazy I'd imagine Westmeath will being 20,000 ish

20k is nearly as big a crowd as you'll ever get from Westmeath to be honest

Yeah I'd b shocked if it actually is 20,000 that's 25% of population. I'd say about 15,000 will be closer which is a crazy figure considering population is around 96,000 your close to 20% . Meath brought around 35000 to last years final but out of 225,000 people . It will be very interesting how many dubs show up I'd be shocked if it's more than 10,000

Congratulations Westmeath! I am absolutely delighted for ye. The response after Dublin went 5 points up early in the second-half was magnificent. Ye were by far the better team and ran Dublin ragged in extra-time. Senan Baker was brilliant and ye had leaders all over the field. Glad to see Heslin come on to play his part and finally win a Leinster medal.

Really really delighted for your lads today. Well deserved triumph brilliant football. Congrats. Would have been a travesty of a team who should have been eliminated in the first round had won.

Magnificient achievement by Westmeath. I thought ye blew it in normal time but you were fantastic in extra time. Far the best team and fully deserved victory.
Well done to Mark and all the team.

Congratulations lads. Unbelievable stuff. You ate the Dubs without salt in that game. Destroyed their midfield in the 2nd half and in extra time. Every man put his body on the line and you have done your county proud. Senan Baker, Sam McCartan and Ronan Wallace in particular were outstanding. 2 games going to extra time in a row, yet we looked so fit. Credit to McHugh and all the back room team for giving us the belief to do this. Mighty stuff. Iarmhí abú.

Highly impressive and fully deserved win. Only black spot is you should have won in normal time perhaps nerves took over? Who cares now! Enjoy the celebrations lads.

Congratulations
Completely deserved. Westmeath had to beat all the supposed big hitters in Leinster this year. A great win and zero complaints, enjoy your celebrations.

Well done Westmeath, been tracking your games since the league and you have been great at shooting, this title no doubt fueled by missing out on promotion to division 2

Brilliant all over the park today-each and every player stood up but how good was Senan Baker when he came on.Proper Leinster champions beating the so called big guns-Meath -Kildare and now Dublin. Also a huge shout out to the Westmeath support who turned out in their thousands and easily outnumbered the dubs. The noise from them was massive and really brought out the best in the players

Well done Westmeath on a well deserved win.
Very impressed with your performance. Delighted for players such as Wallace, Connellan and Heslin to finely get a Leinster medal. Mark McHugh had Roscommon very fit when he was with us and fitness certainly paid off in extra time. Should be a good night in Mullingar and Athlone tonight.

Meath, Kildare and then the Dubs on their home patch...... that's how you win a Leinster title done without your best forward and one of your stand out players in this year's championship Danny Scahill going off early. Thoroughly deserved and a fantastic achievement steered by a Donegal man. Enjoy the celebrations. Delighted for everyone.

100% - fully deserved Leinster medals for those long serving players. Thrilled for them.

What a win

Conellan brilliant in midfield , Brandon Kelly what a player since getting back into team, becoming the go to guy. The backs all brilliant, especially Drummond
All played fabulous.
