Replying To GerBo:  "Floodlights back in use in MacHale Park so I believe, so that's probably why. Makes perfect sense as allows people more time to travel to the game from work."
Talking to a few involved flood lights back in use the reason given and they weren't turned on until the 2nd half last night.

The later throw in time did not improve the attendance figures with still mostly parents or other family members of the players attending. A shame as this grade produces some of the best quality matches and given the commitment with study and exams the players involved deserve better support.

I believe the condensed season has a lot to do with attendance along with the re grading. The same interest just isn't there at u17 and u20 from the general public. League is just over and championship coming fast with many rossis and Mayo people making trips to NYC and London. We are in a cost of living crisis and it's likely going to get worse. People simply can't afford to go to as many games anymore. The fact most are streamed also affects attendance.

Given the lack discussion on the various threads on here regards U17,U20 games I don't think many bother to purchase streams of the matches either.

I agree the season is too condensed and I haven't I checked my bank balance for a while, it won't look too healthy after attending all senior,U17,U20 games so far this year. On the road again tonight and best of luck to the Roscommon U17s in Castlebar.

You're a great supporter analyser even if I don't always agree with you.! The Roscommon minors have look good so far. Best of luck to them in McHale Park this evening.

Outstanding performance again tonight by the Roscommon minors with their 10 point and fully deserved win (2-17 to 0-13) over Mayo in Castlebar. As was mentioned last week they are a very well coached team and mature beyond their means. Some top notch performances from several players but it was a real team performance. Seamie Carthy kicking 6 points from play from midfield shows real maturity and is definitely one for the future. Big Jayden Jennings also had a great game also at center half forward kicking five points from play, working very hard, controlling play and distributing the ball very well. Enda Browne (class player) also caught the eye with some fast driving runs from half back and also kicked a couple of lovely scores. Goalkeeper Zac Mullally and Colm Fitzgeral (hope the injury is not too serious) were also impressive but it has to be mentioned again that it was a real team performance. Every player did well.

* Seamie 6 points
* Cathal Nerney 2 goals.
* Jayden Jennings 5 points
* Enda Browne 2 points
* Joshua Coyne 2 points (frees)
* Jarden Concannon 1 point
* Jack Brooks 1 point

I think that Roscommon kicked 2-15 of their 2-17 from play and outscored Mayo by 1-10 to 0-6 in the second half.

If this teams believes in itself and continues to improve, I believe that they can really go far in this competition.
Well done to the full panel of players and to a very impressive management team.

Is it Connacht v Ulster in the AI Quarter Finals?

Third time lucky for Roscommon in McHale Park after the League match and U20s. Great young group of players excellently coached and managed. Not too often will we beat a Mayo team on their home turf by 10 points. Well done to all. Can we dare to dream of 2006 in 2026.

Deserved win yesterday . Really well coached and really talented. Thought Enda brown and Carthy were brilliant and without a doubt future senior players. Enda brown is a serious talent he's rapid fast skilful strong athletic and can score. A joy to watch.

It is. Monaghan,Tyrone are very strong. Hopefully this time a proper neutral venue will be chosen than playing a Ulster team in a Ulster venue.
