The Meath team left at half time too....and still won.

One win out of the last four is not bad RoyalBadger against Louth 'you still have a few tough games to win before you move up and we need to get another 3 points at least but with the way results are going 5 will keep a team up and probably 12 to get to division 1

we've been through a lot of darker days following Louth through the years , never ever would I leave at half time , especially against our neighbours . Keep the flag flying no matter what , that day in May last summer made up for all the countless hammerings we had ! louthman57 (Louth) - Posts: 329 - 15/02/2026 18:32:09 2656630 Link 2 |

Very hard to see Louth getting anything out of their remaining games against Tyrone, Cavan, Derry and Kildare. I'd fear for Louth that they will be going to division three and playing tailteann cup football this year.

Wouldn't get too excited yet as there's still many twists and turns ahead. We will definitely need a win away in Cavan though which we've failed to do in a while! Keep the faith with the lads. Up the Wee Shearer (Louth) - Posts: 906 - 16/02/2026 13:44:10 2656792 Link 0 |

Given they were a point ahead against Meath until the last kick, I wouldn't be so quick to write them off. Louth have shown plenty character and have some quality footballers. If anything, Kildare have been flakier and Cavan were far from impressive yesterday.
