I made that point before. Wexford are always capable of beating the top teams. Also well in v Clare until sending off in championship two years ago. Still think Croke Park is key fixture for both. Obviously any point dropped v others is curtains. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 4000 - 30/01/2026 08:53:40 2653985 Link 0 |

Apparently not allowed comment on hurling. Scoring/ free stats make the point. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 4000 - 01/02/2026 15:37:29 2654307 Link 0 |

I made I thought a legitimate point but never mind. While the margin was big, Kildare are coming on. Obviously bulked up and more aggressive which is default for this level. Others don't have that. Beaten Antrim, came within a few points of Kilkenny in Walsh shield and could survive with two wins. Championship probably be tougher for them so staying in 1B more important imho. Good to see that Sean McMahon's ludicrous red card v Mayo has been overturned and he is free to play v Monaghan at the weekend. It should never have been a red card in the first place. Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4787 - 09/02/2026 10:35:53 2655607 Link 2 |

It was never a sending off.It was a push and O Donoghue made a meal of it. Its proper oder Sean was cleared. Ger and the lads should pick up two points the weekend and hopefully kickstart the season.Monaghan are struggling badly and I seen in the bookies Dubs are 1/8 on to win. Im hoping for at least six points in league and Monaghan should be a cert. I would be looking then at targetting the Rossies and then pick up another win along the way.I wonder is Ger going to drop a few big names like he hinted? brayballer (Wicklow) - Posts: 467 - 09/02/2026 11:15:35 2655616 Link 1 |

They are the 2 games I would have targeted also but things never go that simply... Yep, I am hearing one name in particular who could be cut. Pity, as I like him as a player and he can play in multiple positions. We will find out this week.... Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4787 - 09/02/2026 12:50:06 2655647 Link 0 |

I always wanted a Dublin hurling thread anyway Barney, it gets lost in the mire in here.
