Yes I would leave well enough alone at the mo.I also think teams might show more interest in winning the league this year particularly division 1.There wasva feeling last year than winning could hinder a team in championship but as it turned out it did nt.We went from being nearly relegated with 15 mins to go on last game to winning the league and it did us no harm in the championship.I do accept its tougher for Ulster teams though.

Yes, you post an awful lot about Mayo. Simular to the point I corrected on this can be verified the minimal effort. No chips just a deference to reality.

The league is a good competition. 4 balanced divisions. By popular demand it has taken over from the old qualifiers to provide a league qualification path to championship. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9378 - 23/01/2026 17:11:36 2652776 Link 0 |

Kerry are favourites - imo on any give. Day one of Donegal, Tyrone, Armagh and dark horse this year could be Derry cud take them out so for example if Kerry were beaten in a qtr final by one of the aforementione and add in Galway and Dublin would also the. fancy a crack at the all Ireland w/o having to play Kerry so their the 7 imo- The article above was published June 2025 about a month before the final at that point Kerry weren't even the bookies favourites and they looked fairly average until 2nd half of Armagh game so there are plenty with chances this year much more so than when Dublin were in their pomp the gap was much bigger than it is now If it Kerry back it up fair Play to them but there a lot Of ball to b played yet rossy15 (Roscommon) - Posts: 666 - 23/01/2026 18:27:01 2652783 Link 0 |

There should be no league finals. The teams that finish on top should win the league.

Agreed, and if the team that finishes top wins the league it would be even more enjoyable, especially the last game.

Kerry are favourites for both league and championship which is expected tbh.Jack O Connor likes to do well in the league and its no coincidence that all his 5 All Ireland wins as a manager were preceded by a league win.Kerry have a strong team named for the Rossies game. Kerry,Mayo were in winning postiing in the knock out stages against Dublin in their pomp and blew it. No side was in that position or looked close to beating Kerry in the knock out stages of the championship last year. Knock out football is where contenders from the pretenders is separated and in the end how many actual contenders had Kerry last summer and will it be any different this summer? Might get a contender or two but there is certainly no 7 contenders. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3824 - 24/01/2026 02:47:07 2652834 Link 0 |

U asked for the 7 contenders With the exception of Derry the 7 provided it will be no great shock if anyone of the 7 won sam in 2026 That To me means their all genuine contenders Now I'm heading to Killarney to watch a bit If ball for the weekend rossy15 (Roscommon) - Posts: 666 - 24/01/2026 10:46:19 2652851 Link 1 |

Donegal have a swift return to Croke Park in 2026 and then Kerry visiting next week. They'll be seeking to exorcise a few ghosts. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9378 - 24/01/2026 13:48:47 2652888 Link 0 |

Surely if it's Dubs home game it should played in Parnell park even though they say croker is not their home ground haha
