As a connacht man i was devastated for ye and proud of ye. With regard to neighbours shouting for Dingle, there will always be clowns. I would suggest that most genuine supporters from Clan and Pearses were behind ye. I know that when Caltra won AI in 2004 the popular narrative was that all Mountbellew were rooting for An Gaeltacht but in actual fact i met so many from the Mountbellew club in croke park that day all of whom were delighted with the result. Of course there were some clowns in 2004 too."
You'll always have a bit of rivalry but most people would have parked it till Sunday night.
Now the 11 other Senior Clubs can start planning how to relieve Brids of their Co Title and may it be hard and fast.

Find it strange Pearses shouting against brigids? Last time I checked there was 35km and 16 county titles between the 2 clubs

Well I have to say its great when Roscommon beat Mayo or Galway but once they play a team outside of Connacht I would always shout for my fellow provincial teams. Believe it or not but I dearly wanted Mayo to bring Sam West back when they were getting to the All Ireland final on a regular basis. The same with Galway. It'll probably never happen in my lifetime where the Rossies get to a senior All Ireland final again which is a shame but I can live to dream. I would assume most of Connacht would have our backs too in big games outside of Connacht. Its the neighbourly thing to do

Not sure players/fan from Pearses Clann or whoever should be expected toshout for Brigids. Some will some wont i dont see a problem Wouldnt say people in Brigids care either.
Do posters here shout for Mayo/Galway when Roscommon are knocked out?
I wouldnt expect Rangers fans to shout for Celtic or Munster fans to shout for Leinster. They are rivals as are other clubs within the county

Hard luck to St. Brigids. They did Roscommon proud. It was a great game to watch. It was a pity there was not a replay. There were alot of good footballers on both teams. I am looking forward to cheering them on in there Roscommon jerseys later this year. I also heard about that video online and it not a Pearses pub. There is always a few who don't like there rivals especially if they got some slagging when they lost finals.

Whatever about laughing or celebrating your rivals demise the fact remains that Brigid's have gone and won their All Ireland in recent times. Clan failed on five occasions even to a Wicklow club back in 1990 when they finally thought they'd get over the line. That brought an end to that era of final losses. Pearses on the other hand have only reached a semi final and were well off it when they got knocked out. We know who really has the last laugh tbh.

Yeah I really felt bad for ye to be fair first time I ever did though haha. Rossies have good players good forwards anything can happen. I hope ye beat kerry at the weekend that lot need to be taken down a peg or two .

I'd agree but I'd add neary who's back in the panel maybe second or third round if it's too soon

Shame mcginley is missing again a bit like Adam McDermott annoying young forwards not getting a chance and getting away

Especially with donie and Cian retiring and the Brigids players missing for the first half possibly some the year

I feel like we need to build depth, Mr 65 training sessions should done it last year when we were in division two so we wouldn't be in this scenario

Any word on what Brigid's lads will be playing for Roscommon this year? Is Brian stack taking full year off ? Stack will be a massive loss to us

McGinley and McDermott way off it physically for senior inter county unfortunately - the step up from 20s is as big as it has ever been

Brian would be a terrible loss alright.
I'd hope most of them can commit from mid February on.

Adam McDermott wasn't asked into squad this year I was told from a reliable source. We have lots of forward players very similar with the henaghans colleran Ben O'Coroll,jack tumilty. Then add in the likes of cox murtagh enda daire cregg

Adam Didn't commit, apparently work and bit of travelling to do.

List of forwards we'll have involved this year. One of two might be played in midfield depending on the situation there with injuries or form.

On Brigids lads (Stack and one or two others) it's not fully decided yet, Dowd might confirm to media after Sundays game.
