Replying To Commodore:  "I think McGuinness was fuming at the wasted goal chances on offer, twice in injury time we seen Eoin McGeehan wide open in front of goal, and ball carriers selfishly went for the point. Overall I think the new faces grew into the game as it went on, but it was still the experienced hands that drove it on. Daire O'Baoill looked immense, although its only January.

Overall its good to get another game in before the National League."
It was actually very uncharacteristic of McCahill to take the easy point. Usually he is very goal driven when he gets half a sniff but it's a massive learning curve for him. As pointed out a 5 point lead can be whittled away very quickly so that ball needs to be hand passed to McGeehin for the walk in goal. I'm sure he'll learn from it but make no mistake he is going to be a name on many lips in the very near future.

McGuinness actually brought it up in his post match presser. It was literally a 3/4 Donegal men and just the Derry keeper. It was an error from a young player eager to do well.

Aye, McCahill played brilliantly, he looks like an exciting player, as did most of the other new faces. Hoping Shaun Patton won't be out for long, as we will miss his kickout ability in the National League.

Read my comment again, particular the bit "I think McGuinness was fuming",

You appear to have your finger on the Mayo pulse, any idea why is the Neary lad gone from the Mayo panel or Maheady from Crossmolina, them lads are good forwards. Why did they fall out of favour so quickly with Andy? Mayo have been desperate for forwards for ages.
