Gortnor Abbey, Crossmolina, is his school JM. We'll wish him the best in AFL and welcome him back if he does return.

I see the new Mayo GAA Chief Executive Officer job that was advertised today. Would Jimmy Sloyan (Kiltimagh) or Clare Kennedy (Killala) be in the running? GDL (Galway) - Posts: 884 - 21/11/2025 21:50:23 2645597 Link 3 |

You really need to concentrate on your own Galway team after loosing to Meath . Instead of living rent free in a certain someones head !

Agreed all, a great club and the very best of luck to them from here on in. An inspiration to all other hurling islands in football territory. facethepuckout (Roscommon) - Posts: 228 - 22/11/2025 21:58:40 2645696 Link 1 |

I think in time it will happen. New hurling club in south Mayo called called Moytura (based in Cong) and even St Colmans College Claremorris which would be known as a football nursery, now have a hurling team.

Why do you keep having a pop at Meath? Meath are a superior football county to Mayo historically in every way possible. They also had a better year than Mayo last year, getting to a semi final whereas Mayo were knocked out at the very first stage. Cavan beating them comfortably deciding that outcome
