Even if tg4 wanted to show it your Board could've said no.

Couldnt tell you . What i do know is they live in Bullaun. Was sitting beside her husband at a Galway football match .He still plays his club hurling in Antrim but said they were living in Bullaun. Where does she play club?

They televised sars Vs castlegar this year. I'm sure they would've televised Loughrea Vs Thomas' 100% IF it was fixed for Sunday. Which it should've been.

That's not what I asked. The last final I seen TG4 televise was the Jonny Maher final of 2012.

They may have shown one in following years cant remember but haven't had coverage of final since 2020 even when in athenry. With that in mind what logic makes you think it would have been shown Sunday over na piarsaigh v ballygunner

I think you're right. 2012 might have been the last one live on TG4. Loughrea lost 6 finals in 11 seasons 2003-2013, and it would have been 7 only for the refereeing shenanigans of 2006. No wonder Johnny Maher was losing the rag by 2012.

No Galway final was televised last year and both were played on a Sunday, each streaming is the equivalent of a spectator in revenue so what do you think the board would do? This years final is difficult to call as both teams know how to win finals from their own recent experiences.

County Final tomorrow , biggest day in the club hurling calendar in Galway . No discussion on this forum about the game ……except for location and lights !

Loughrea by + 5/6 is my feeling.

All the contributors must be from the Bridge or Turlough as the forum has quietened down considerably since the knock out stages started.

I'd say Thomas's by 2 points. Should be a great Final or at least i hope it will be. I respect both teams and i really hope whoever wins it goes on to win the All Ireland.

The streaming is far too much of a cash cow to Galway GAA for any important club games to be shown on TG4 ever again. I dont know how much revenue it generated last year but I saw the figures published for 2023 and it made 257k euro that year.
I expect Sars vs Castlegar got shown on TG4 cos it was just a group game.

As for the final I think Loughrea will win it by 2-3 points.

Loughrea full forward line Vs toms full back line, midfield and discipline, whoever wins those battles wins the game imo. Weather is going to be awful for the game, 20mph wind and heavy rain. No doubt will have an impact on attendance.

Possibly the case. My comment was in relation to hurling which I believe generates more income on the livestream than the football.

Come on the town. To all the doubters.. including katser. Maybe now the respect will be shown. We missed enough to win it twice. Beat the bridge, Turlough and toms. 2 in a row. Roll on the all ireland

Congrats Loughrea... I thought when ye spurned all those goal chances in the first half it might come back to bite ye. Glad it didnt. Fully deserved win. Enjoy the celebrations.

Hopefully Loughrea go on and win the all Ireland now, had the hard route to the final and were the outstanding team in the championship and again tonight, should have won by alot bigger margin, was disappointing to see some Thomas players at the end with Liam Gordon. It wasn't a 65, the right call was got there in the end.
