Replying To justafanofthegame:  "Lot of bitterness here about the deadline day transfers of the jones'.. more power to them and Derrygonnelly Gaels I say. If the influx of three players can make such a change to Leitrim club football, then I'm afraid we need to have a much deeper conversation....

Very interested to see Allen Gaels and Annaduff this weekend. Most tipping Allen Gaels but I wouldn't write off Annaduff. Their 'keeper came off early in the QF with what looked like a shoulder/collarbone... will he be back? Their sub keeper seemed a strong option off the bench, so they might be okay. Darren Cox ran the show, but I was very impressed with Annaduff's forwards. Darren assumed more of a quarter back position, letting quality ball in. Carrigallen couldn't keep up with the pace of Annaduff forwards. 4:20 is big scoring in knockout football, do Allen Gaels have the backs to step up?

There will be some incredible matchups in Pairc Sean on Sunday. Big pitch will suit both teams. My tenner is on the draw,"
I'd imagine Allen Gaels will win this one by half time tbh

That's a very silly thing to say please. Everyone here knows that the game is never over by half time thanks. It lasts for two halves, hence it's called half time. Then when the other half is played it is full time yes. Then you can't have a third half as there are only two halves in everything please. I hope you understand this. Thank you very much.

Anyone that thinks the addition of these players to Leitrim football, is deluded. It will benefit Leitrim Gaels club for a senior championship and they'll go off on their merry way when they make back up with Derrygonell.

I agree with you ,if either Soh or Fenagh make the final without injury,i think they will beat the Gaels ,they will have learned a lot about themselves in the two games they played ,if the jones hadn't joined them it would be a relegation final wouldbe playing if other teams start bringing in players it will destroy it for teams who have nurtured players from kids ,say Fenagh get there and lose they probably never get another bite at the cherry ,soh will be back as it's town teams are getting stronger, not picking a row stating fact

Based on what?

We can all log in and drop one liner predictions... maybe you have some kind of insight none of us are privy too?

As so eloquently put previously, no game is over at half time. By memory, the last time Allen Gaels met Annaduff in knockout football they were put to the pin of their collar and beaten down in Cloone. I would say both teams have improved since then, hence why we are in for a cracker on Sunday.

Let's not undermine the integrity of this forum with such dismissive, foolish comments.

Not likely, both teams are unbeaten in championship so far, Annaduff could have made league final bar slipups by 1/2 points when they didn't have everyone available. Probably still won't have everyone available on Sunday but seem to be deep enough at every position to get the job done, heard their keeper is out for the year now but they've decent backup apparently. Id bet on draw too or no more than a 2 point victory for either side.

I've made my prediction and I stand by it. Integrity or no integrity.

Replying To bláthach:  "the Jones Boys are a huge addition to Leitrim Gaels please thanks but the fact that they do not live in the greater area is very very off putting. This is not what club football should be about thanks. Should not be parachuting in players like this to win things, it is not right and I won't stand for it. Thank you to everyone for agreeing with me on this issue of national importance yes."
Reminds me of the time in Longford when Ballymahon had John O'Callaghan (Kerry) and Frankie Dolan (Ros) playing with them. The only time the 2 lads were seen around Ballymahon was on game day! Coincidently, his uncle Dessie, managed Ballymahon for the 2 years Frankie played with them. Won them their only championship and got them to another final the following year. Nothing fishy went on there either lol

I think that is a bit disingenuous the three Jones lads are Div 4 intercounty at least and Garvan has been superb in Division 2 recently.

That addition to any top four club in any county will have an impact on proceedings and will raise the competitiveness of the championship.

Watching the Balinamore Fenagh game again. That rule for a 2 pointer where it can hop and go over the bar is daft. I understand that it needs to touch someone to count as a single point but daft nevertheless.

Thank you for your concern Jampot but I can assure you this is my one and only account. Long-time listener first-time caller if you will.

Thought I'd sprinkle some sense onto this cesspit to make up for the dung that usually is put on here.

I would rather discuss the happenings of Leitrim GAA rather than concern myself over such trivia.

Can anyone tell me when the bookmakers will have their odds up? I would like 100e on Annaduff please.

Surprised there's not more talk about the Senior Ladies Final on Saturday. Glencar Manorhamilton going for six in a row is some achievement and deserves a lot more credit. Keeping that kind of dominance going for so long takes serious commitment and quality right through the team. It's a huge milestone that shouldn't be flying under the radar.

You talk about bringing sense into 'this cesspit' and finish off by gambling talk. Okay

No intermediate relegation semi finals fixed for this weekend and still not down on the fixtures on Leitrim GAA. Looks like it will be the following weekend now. That will be 4 weeks since the four teams last played. I understand storm Amy postponed one of the games last weekend but how is it taking this long to wrap this up. Serious lack of respect for the 4 teams involved.

I'd disagree. It was poor defence, no harm it was punished with a two pointer.
