Getting the simple ball over the bar was there downfall today. All the talk about their great forwards and it was them who let them down. They upped their game from the performances all year and Armagh were there for the taking. Donegal Derry final.

Yes a lot of chances missed. Jordon missed a few 2 pointers early on. The goal chance near the end of extra time was crutial. In hindsight a pop over the bar would have tied the match. A word on Mattie Donnelly, great match today. He has been a great servant to Tyrone. Scenicparish (Donegal) - Posts: 905 - 12/04/2026 21:30:00 2666018 Link 0 |

I was scratching my head at how Tyrone lost repeated kick-outs in Extra time, despite having an extra man. I just couldn't understand why they kept Armagh in the game by kicking out to 50:50 balls in the middle. Surely the extra man should have been negating the Armagh press, but Tyrone seemed out of touch and hell bent on helping Armagh to win it. Also noticed that Tyrone have no spacial awareness , very messy setup, O'Rourke needs to have a hard look at things. Commodore (Donegal) - Posts: 1730 - 12/04/2026 21:33:43 2666023 Link 0 |

On the great goal chance, as you say, nothing beats a moving scoreboard no matter if it's tap over points.
