There are only three senior hurling clubs in Longford, all dual clubs. Longford Slashers, Wolfe Tones (Edgeworthstown) and my own club, Clonguish. Some efforts at underage at the moment in Dromard, Kenagh and Rathcline. It is disappointing that the other larger areas within the county like Granard, Killoe, Drumlish and Ballymahon have not made any attempt to promote hurling
