Replying To BaldyBadger:  "Yes he's a star on the rise. They have some excellent players alongside him in Loftus and Flynn. They're flying at the moment. They could be caught. I think Ballina have a kick in them as well.
As you'd expect, I think the 4 left are legitimately the best 4, with only a Breaffy team that often flatters to deceive potentially mixing it up."
its a very competitive championship - but hasn't produced a Connacht winner since 2015. So not really a relevant championship in the grand scheme of things. There have been 2 Galway winners (4 titles for Corofin), 2 Roscommon and 2 Sligo winner in those 10 years. Mayo clubs are well overdue a Connacht title.

Ballina are competitive but lack the fire power in my opinion to seriously compete at national level, but they could win Mayo and be a threat to Connacht. The same applies to Knockmore and Westport. I just feel that if Crossmolina managed to get their hands on a Mayo, they may have more in the forward area to make that leap. Coming from Intermediate to county and provincial champs in two years is a big ask though.

Whoever comes out of Galway and Roscommon will be serious opposition for anyone.

Going back to Cork, St Finbarrs have been the form team. Dual commitments could hamper them. Nemo are waiting. That being said, Newcestown, another strong dual club are flying the flag from West Cork. A great club, who have embraced both codes and one I have a real eye out for. I'd love to see them get success.

Not two for Sligo as Coolera/Strandhill win last year was the first Sligo winner since 1983.

Be interesting to see how Mayo Senior champions fair in Connacht championship this November. A trip to London first before a semi final away to the Roscommon champion more than likely Brigids,Pearses who have won Connacht titles recently and the latter really left another behind them last year

A shock in Kerry. Mid Kerry have knocked out Dr Crokes! 3-8 to 0-15. East Kerry and Austin Stacks had comfortable wins today.

Mohill champions in Leitrim for last two years gone as Leitrim Gaels, a club only formed in 1997 reach their first ever final. Amazingly the half time scre was 4-10 to 0-0!

An accumulator with those outcomes would make you very rich. There's a reason for that though.

I read that the 3 Jones brothers from Derrygonnelly transferred to them. That would seriously strengthen any club team. Do they have some existing connection with the club?

Absolutely. Always plenty shocks at club level and very hard to predict. Club is mighty, as you have teams from counties who wouldn't have a hope at intercounty level, with a realistic shot at a provincial title.
I'll go with Corofin for Connacht, but no guarantee they'll get out of Galway. Pearse's will be hard beat, if they win the Roscommon final.
I think East Kerry will win the Kerry county championship, so I believe that would put Crokes through as club champions, despite being knocked out yesterday. They'd be my pick for Munster.
I'll go with Kilcoo for Ulster and the Dublin winners for Leinster, who I think will be Kilmacud.

At your time of posting Kilmacud had already exited the Dublin Champo!

There's a reason I steer clear of the bookies. :) Can't even predict the outcome of matches that have already finished.
We were busy with a couple of very competitive hurling quarter finals in Galway today. Looked like some cracking games all over today. Cuala out as well, after what looked like an epic.

Why did Mayo GAA pull their games so early? Surely those games would have been able to be played yesterday and even Saturday evening?

Both the Dublin SFC semi finals were epic.

Amazing comebacks by the underdogs in both. Hell of a double header.

Crokes and Cuala will be kicking themselves big time this morning.

But I tip my hat to my very near neighbours in Glasnevin, and also the lads from Ballyboden.
They stuck at it and got their just rewards in the end. Excellent performances by both teams.

Just a word on Shane Walsh - it was a privilege being there to watch his mastery yesterday.
Hell of a player but everything was on him, which for a club the size of Crokes is unbelievable.
The injured Mannion, who had a hand injury, was a massive loss yesterday.

Cuala's late collapse was remarkable also. They just couldnt stem the tide in that last 5 minutes.

As a neutral, it was great entertainment, with totally unexpected outcomes.

Kilcoo V Clonduff
Burren V Carryduff"
kilcoo won by a point in a tense semi final with clonduff missing a free in last kick off game ( 2 pointer ) to win it.

Carryduff won by 8 points after being 6 down in first 5 mins off game.

On form you would fancy carryduff but Kilcoo in there 14th final in row just know how to win games.

If Errigal can finish out the Tyrone championship, ( it'll be the first back to back in 20 years) then surely they can go on to win the All Ireland. They won't be far away.

Donegal had their Intermediate football final on Sunday with Naomh Columba beating Malin.
The senior final between Gaoth Dobhair and Noamh Conaill is on this coming Sunday at 3.30 (beo ar TG4)
