Good to see plenty of involvement of enniscorthy District clubs in the upcoming adult grades. Rathnure, cloughbawn, davidstown and ballyhouge all neighbouring clubs.

Twice a week plus matches. Same as our lads the last 3 years. And out younger lads the last 2 years.

Throw in The Duffry and Marshalstown also.

In fact across the 6 grades encompassing 12 teams there's only 4 teams from outside the Enniscorthy district, harriers, Martins, Fethard and Gorey albeit there's probably a case for all 4 of them to be favourites.

A possible Eniscorthy district clean sweep might be on.

Not good enough unfortunately.

Replying To Longtimefirsttime:  "It should be noted that they do ignore one half of the GAA. Whilst not saying all clubs would definitely see the same success only being one code focused definitely allows greater scope for development in that area. Take Gusserane, Castletown, St James, Fethard, Bunclody, Crossabeg trying to promote both codes as equal as possible, doesn't always reap the same results!"
The GAA mindset is a little crazy - If I suggested that my U14 hurling team trained hurling one night per week and then we would train soccer the next night there would be up roar. However there seems to be the ideation that you can do this same scenario with Hurling & Football because they are 'one half of the GAA'
Of course concentration on one code allows greater scope for development. I suppose you can look at the mindset (especially foe small rural clubs) - Do you want to be good at one sport or mediocre at two sports. Kilkenny seem to have their mindset sorted!

Same in ours, I would imagine most clubs do this to be honest.

Senior champions play Dublin Champions at home in quarter final. Intermediate champions play Kilkenny champions at home in quarter final. We'll know straight away the quality of our championships after those games . At least those games are in Wexford venues which will be a help to our teams.

In senior its Wexford V Dublin in Wexford Park on 9th Nov
Winner of plays MLR or Naas in Leinster Semi Final - home venue too

Whoever wins Senior final, and if they commit to Leinster I do think there is a Leinster final appearance in them.

Dublin teams don't travel well!

Very early to be writing a lad off. He has enormous potential. Whether that's realized is another thing.

Looks like it will probably be Na Fianna the All Ireland Champions. Im sure the Martins would love another crack at them be so would the young guns of Rathnure

Not so far. Not clinical and not consistent. Was one of the best players in the 2023 Lu20HSF in Nowlan Park against Kilkenny apart from a bad goal miss, invisible then against Offaly in the final.

Has potential though, no player is ever his own finished project even when he retires.

Too early to say who will be AI champions. That's some leap in the dark for a prediction! They are favourites against Lucan in Dublin but havent won their own final yet. Not sure they will be favourites if they meet OLG or Ballyhale, although they probably will be favourites against any of the other Leinster county champions if they beat Lucan. Being favourites doesnt mean they will beat them though.Noone knows who will be Ulster, Munster or Galway champions yet either. None of those will fear any other club team.

I meant Na Fianna the current All Ireland Champions obviously cant predict who will win it in 2026. They will be hot favourites to beat Lucan and then play Martins or Rathnure. Im saying that will tell us where our senior champions really are this year

As I said having home advantage in Wexford Park is big bonus - especially for a Martins / Rathnure team that like to use an extra man and play it wide. Parnell Park is like a graveyard.

Ah sorry lad picked you up wrong. They will be favourites to beat our champions if they beat Lucan, I'm not sure Lucan will be though.
As others have said I think home advantage will be a big benefit to whoever our champions will be. Whether that will be enough though....

And a result that went unnoticed was Enniscorthy CBS junior team beating St. Kieran's in the league stage of their competition.
Yes they lost to Good Counsel but schools have to start beating these top schools.

Crokes or Cuala had no problem on the road for the last few years.
I think the "graveyard" mentality is something Wexford people need to shift. Thurles, Neller, where else?
Its a pitch with 2 sets of posts no matter where the pitch is. The bigger problem is that Wexford teams are not good enough to beat the teams they are playing in these venues. That is that part that can change.
