Replying To legendzxix:  "Exactly. A neutral perspective. The neutral pundits have installed Donegal as favourites. It is what it is."
Two pundits backing Donegal is a relief, considering Kerry have Paddy Andrews, James O'Donaghue, Oisin McConville, Ciaran Whelan, Enda McGinley, Tomas O'Se and a truck load of others calling it for Kerry.

You must be delighted to be favorites for the majority of GAA Pundits, or maybe not by the sounds of it.

All pundits I've read have installed Donegal as favourites. To be completed honest. A lot of the punditry is disrespectful towards the Kerry management and players. It is completely out of order. Kerry are always respectful of the opposition. It is not being reciprocated. It is like the lead up to the Armagh game all over again. Kerry are being completely disrespected.

Replying To Al_Maguire:  "One from Donegal and one from Senegal.

The song was actually written about a Jimmy from Senegal who used to sell watches in Lanzarote where Rory Gallagher is a resident singer.

'Jimmy's Selling Watches'

He changed the lyrics in the 2012 run and it took off.

So more to do with that..

Jim's was never known as Jimmy before he took over as manager

Spillane, O'Rourke etc were the first to call him Jimmy McGuinness on Sunday Game

But they were mixing him up with the Meath player who played around at the same time. Which says it all really.

Just posting as an FYI."
Ahh...it was actually one of the better All_Ireland songs to be fair. Catchy.

Kerry management and players disrespected by which pundits and in what particular way?

There are certain pundits who seem to possibly dislike or sound less favorable to Donegal, usually the likes of Sean Cavanagh, Dick Clerkin and to a much lesser extent Philly McMahon and Ciaran Whelan.

I'm sure there are pundits who dislike Kerry or other Counties too, but over the last 4 weeks I have heard nothing but praise for Kerry from pundits and ex players from Kerry and from other places too. In fact, there is a hint of arrogance in how some Kerry pundits take exception to anything short of total praise.

Make absolutely no mistake about it lads.
In spite of any yerra and plamás directed our way by Kerry folk in the coming days - they consider themselves superior to us in every way when it comes to football. 100% take that to the bank.

The Kerry Manager was having a go at former Kerry players and supporters in his rant after the Armagh victory so I think you should point the finger closer to home before you mention punters and supporters in general.

It's 50 50 game Kerry may not be everyone cup tea probably because culture of winning which can come across as arrogant maybe but most kerry supporters are decent like donegal.

I myself like kerry football but hope it's great game either way

That's absolutely hilarious yerra talk from Donegal ones!

I think it's the other way around McGuiness and siege mentality..

Kerry 5 !

Can you find me any bookie that has Donegal as slight favourties? it's the opposite from what I see looking at the market.

If it's not a great game I hope people don't lay the blame at Donegal as it takes two to tango if expected good game doesn't turn out to be that way.

He was raging. He was also saying that Meath are a good team. I agreed and thought the same. Meath had beaten Galway. Donegal then blew Meath out of the water! It was a statement win. Donegal are absolute favourites. There can be no qualms about that. The popular punditry is that stopping Donegal requires putting out too many fires.

Who exactly are writing Kerry off? Give specifics here, because I haven't seen that, in fact if you check the Off The Ball reels or Sunday Game podcast reels etc, the majority are backing Kerry. Just like the Bookies.

I get the feeling the Kerry posters on here are uncomfortable with them being slight favorites, they are clinging to any comments from any minority of pundits to try to create a siege that isn't there and can't be there based on their recent experience in All Ireland's, which is way superior to Donegal.

This will be this Kerry teams 4th All Ireland final in 7 seasons, they have super talented players all over the pitch, players that rival Donegal and any other team in skill, pace and fitness, and they have David Clifford who is just on a different level to everyone else. Even if Donegal manage to keep David Clifford relatively quiet, he could still rattle off 1-05, then they have Sean O'Shea, Joe O'Connor, Paul Geaney, Paudie Clifford, Gavin White, Killian Spillane, Foley, O'Brien, Murphy, really top quality players who can take up the slack.
