The biggest problem I have with the Armagh reaction is that this is not during the game, it is after the game, and it involved subs and non playing members. That is not ok, regardless of oh the Donegal lad taunted so I had to give him a box. Neither of the things should have happened but there is obviously no equivalency between them and the taunt in no way absolves the Armagh lads of any guilt.

There is a huge difference between a tackle or push on the pitch leading to a scuffle or a bit of holding vs a non togging player running onto the pitch after the game to give someone a box."
Absolutely the attack by the Armagh lads was 100% wrong.
The fact that it was wrong does not in any way mean that the carry on of the Donegal player was not stupid, intimidating and unsporting. All of his team mates headed to the centre of the pitch to celebrate but this guy it seems knew better than that and decided the best plan was to go on a "solo run" and rub it in to the opposition.
If I was him, sure I'd be annoyed at getting the thumps but I'd also be thinking "I kinda looked for it".

If there's no fixture clash with Hurling, Football,LGFA or Camogie they'd be pretty stupid turning down the cash for other events. I don't know but imagine the organisers of those events have better vendors than the GAA use serving reheated food for ridiculous money.

We understand and sympathise with you. Very possible he is not even from Cavan. Thinks he speaks for the majority of GAA people. A little Trump like, he would claim to be right even if he were to see the number of "likes" your post got. Always love the banter with the Cavan lads but "Foreverblueandbluer" is probably more to be pitied than laughed at. Good luck and enjoy the race for Sam.

Ah take it aisy. With every post he makes, he is proven wrong, but doesn't stop his nonsensical ramblings. Great win on Sunday. Delighted for ye. We will need to take something special to Newbridge to better ye, unless the celebrations take a toll. We were very lucky to get a share of the spoils in Clones last year. Looking forward to a good day out in Newbridge.

Low key build up to this weekend's games, for reasons that have been mentioned quite a bit to do with the lack of jeopardy etc.!
Galway and Dublin could go either way. The game in Killarney is up to what Roscommon bring to the game. Clare v Down is a good chance for both. Hard to get a read on Cavan. Maybe they can cause an upset in Castlebar?

We probably won't bring much going by March and April form.
After the excitement of the Ulster and Leinster Finals with Louths 1st in 68 years back to bread and butter League games is a bit like turkey on 27th December.

Cavan are a decent team but no way we will loose this one . Or maybe you are just hoping mayo loose .

If cavan were playing kerry would you honestly say that they might cause an upset agent you ? Kerry are not that much better then mayo either.

If I want to be entertained by an upset, I'll be looking elsewhere for obvious reasons! A good contest in Salthill and a shock in Castlebar will be a good start for the All Ireland championship.

Well It's only lunchtime and unless you spent the morning watching Bob Mortimer clips, it's hardly that funny.

He didn't exactly rule out Roscommon against Kerry either

Cavan still had a chance of promotion on the last day of the league in a competitive Division 2.

We've been poor all year including games against two division 3 teams and Division One wasn't competitive.

Cavan are missing players but there's nothing so far that suggests we'll do well against them.

A lot great supporters but some like moan to say kerry aren't better than mayo or much better is deluded .
Not from Kerry but this is deluded statement beyond belief and maybe give more consideration to it if you tip the group and beat Tyrone and Donegal

Donegal, Mayo and Tyrone are expecting to advance. A Cavan win in Castlebar will set the cat amongst the pigeons!
Group 2: Kerry, Meath, Roscommon, Cork.
The form guide suggests a three way battle to avoid elimination. Anything can happen I suppose!
Group 3: Louth, Clare, Monaghan, Down.
Looks set to be a battle between Louth and Monaghan for the group win. Clare and Down battling to avoid elimination. Clare v Down and Louth v Monaghan in round 1 could more or less decide all of that.
Group 4: Galway, Armagh, Dublin, Derry.
The so-called group of death. Derry's form has been terrible. Without a win in league or championship. Galway, Armagh and Dublin are expecting to go through. Derry will have to pull off a shock round 1 win to spice up this group.

Decent summary

I think the fact Louth have to recover from the high of Croke Park and won't even get home advantage gives Monaghan the edge for topping group as its first up.

Derry currently 4/1, was hoping for bigger but I'd give them a massive chance of beating Armagh. Armagh were poor in first group game v Westmeath. Its so hard to lose Ulster final and pick yourself up. Theres got to be a kick in this Derry team.

Wouldn't be too surprised if Cavan beat us and then we go up to Omagh and beat Tyrone. Either way we won't be causing much damage again this year. Depressing enough.
