It's a subjective exercise. The top three All-Ireland champions are Kerry (38), Dublin (31) and Galway (9). With such a big drop from second to third, does that mean there's just two "traditional heavyweights"? Next are Cork and Meath on 7. Where do you stop? Meath are in 6th place in terms of All-Ireland runner-up places and in 7th place on both the list of provincial championships and All-Ireland semifinal appearances. But considering there's over 30 teams that take part, does that qualify them as traditional heavyweights? The figures are objective; which figures you use and how you then use them are subjective. Strangling each other on this forum isn't going to produce a definite answer, because, unless you're talking about counties at either end of the list, there isn't any. They won their titles at the end of that era. The exact reason you dismissed Meath. Why is that exactly?

"this is my last post on the thread" Your exact words yet you're still here....

It's not my fault if other posters get upset when their points get questioned is it? If you have in fact been "reading for years" you must really take close notice as I don't even post on here all that often.... oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1644 - 13/05/2025 19:30:53 2609348 Link 0 |

Wonder will the 1 room be big enough now? To fit ye all in? Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 15829 - 13/05/2025 22:21:31 2609390 Link 1 |
How is asking someone to explain their points being negative? It would have been done much sooner had he just done it. Maybe you could take a look and your new best friend posting over the years.

I'd say you've harassed loads of people off this forum over the years with your relentless personal nonsense, grudges and vendettas but I'm knocking around here much longer than you and have no intention of letting you dictate how and where I post. Jog on.

Again with this "vendetta" nonsense. What you have to actually back that up? I'm not stopping you from posting anywhere. Please show me where I said anything of the sort? Again getting upset about things that aren't actually happening. oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1644 - 14/05/2025 10:53:50 2609485 Link 0 |
You should know a lot about it seeing as you spend most of your time on here getting upset.

Cos your M.O. on here is chasing people round threads annoying them. You don't really care how Meath are classified by me or anyone else you're just constantly fuming with various posters over historic threads. You keep referencing my posting history but insist you aren't going off topic. You will never be able to see how contradictory and hypocritical you are on every single topic. Jog on.

This is my last message to you on this topic. As I've said you believe that everything you say in an actual fact when it's just an option. When someone doesn't agree with you you trow your toys out of the pram. You can tell yourself otherwise all you want but time and time again this happens on many topics. You talk about grudges and vendettas. Others have made similar points to me on this topic yet you only comment on mine. Who's the one with a "grunge" based on this? As for bringing this off topic. I made a point on a Kerry Waterford game that might have played a part in said result. You then made your usual nonsense comments about it even after others backed up the story. But you just choose to ignore it. Your "heavyweight" nonsense comments. You made a claim when it was questioned you changed your story. Again tell yourself you didn't all you want but you did. You then like you always do claimed everyone else was wrong and people didn't understand what you were talking about. So maybe it's you who should jog on and talk to your "peers" who you always talk about. oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1644 - 14/05/2025 11:33:57 2609503 Link 0 |
Brilliant. Delighted you've called a halt to your weird obsessive illogical rants about me! Enjoy the sunshine on your jog and I'll see you again when you bring this up on another thread at a later date

A couple more. Sorry to Sligo folks but they feature twice in this... Tacaí Liatroma (Leitrim) - Posts: 1180 - 15/05/2025 23:56:37 2609933 Link 0 |
Come here, there was a previous poster "TheMaster" years ago. Him and Bref always had the same opinion. Contrarion for it's sake! Wouldn't even bother engaging!

Absolutely, I'd like nothing more than both of you never engaging with my posts again. Neither of you are capable of looking beyond the poster to read the posts. I used to put the folly of your your posts back then down to youthful exuberance. You don't have that excuse any more!

Oh he's upset again. It's funny he makes all sorts of assumptions etc about others yet will cry about it when someone says the same thing about him. oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1644 - 16/05/2025 11:18:58 2609995 Link 0 |
The Sligo result from 2008 from what I can remember there was issues with management etc and a lot of players refused to play in the Tommy Murphy Cup despite the fact they had won Connacht only a year before. They also lost to London in 2013? That I think was more of a surprise.
