Replying To StoreysTash:  "As it was a long weekend here I didn't see either game live but watched the Munster Final on Sunday morning with no spoilers.
My father text me to say "don't waste the King's Birthday on it" regarding the Leinster Final.
Disappointing for hurling in Leinster that it was that bad.
No point mincing our words, Leinster hurling is not in a good place and collectively we are a mile off the pace. Time for everybody to up the work rate across the province to close that gap.
When I was in college, I always felt the lads from Munster went for every ball harder than we did and everything was done at a higher tempo.
If we don't start to match them for work rate as a core value, we will never close that gap."
Not sure about that Storey. In De La Salle we loved playing with the Wexford and Kilkenny lads as they would give 110%. The Wexford lads were great friends for life. Maybe it changed.

Replying To Doylerwex:  "Wexford and Offaly was a good game. Shame there was nothing at stake for Wexford and Kilkenny. It's ordinarily the crown jewel of the tournament."
Wexford and Offaly wasn't a good game though, might have been on a knife-edge but the quality on show that day left a lot to be desired

Replying To Doylerwex:  "Sorry Kilkenny have won 6 in a row.

They lost to us in 19 in the final and went to Extra time in the semi final in the COVID year.

We also beat them in 22 when they'd have gone out if another result went against them.

Only a point between us in nowlan park last year in what was a defacto semi final."
Yep but they still won 6 in a row we won nothing lets adress the problems we have instead of looking at results v kilkenny and blaming refs and bad calls .

I think that has changed somewhat myself. If there was a Wexford way, that 110% was it back in the 80s and 90s. It's not always there this millennium.

There's no such thing as giving 110% of course, you can only give 100%.....max.

It's hard to have quality when the visitors turned up with absolutely no interest in hurling.

Yes, but you may think you have given 100% but there might be a bit more in there, so that is the 10% :)

You're right.

There's no silverware that says Kilkenny won but Wexford beat them in the group.

I was simply making the point that Kilkenny winning it at their leisure is not correct.

I really enjoyed the Offaly game, it was a real throwback affair. Plenty of hard hurling on view, and the result in the melting pot until the final whistle.

There's 4 different occasions where Kilkenny only just barely squeaked into the Leinster Final since 2019.
2019- they wouldn't have even finished 3rd if they hadn't got a draw in the Park.
2021- was the ball really fully over the bar when Eoin Murphy batted it back out.......is that even physically possible with a hurl thats not made of rubber......another drawn game in normal time.
2022- Galways only win over Dublin until this year since they beat them by a point in 2018. If Dublin had of got a draw or win Kilkenny wouldn't even have finished 3rd again.
2024-Cats only just make the Final with a 1 point win in Nowlan Park. ( See what I didn't do there ;-) )
There was also the steps issue with their goal in the Nell that year.

So definitely I agree with you Doyler, they absolutely haven't won it at their leisure as they needed a degree of luck in those 4 years even to make the Final in the 1st place.

With all due respects, whether KK won by a point or 16 points makes no difference, they have won 6 in a row which tells us that they are totally dominant in Leinster again.

They've been totally dominant since 1888. That's not the same as having it easy though.

Maybe we live in the past. Most changes have been for the better.
