In general, I mean, I know there are juvenile, student and OAP ticket prices but a family ticket works in other sports and definitely worth bringing it in for GAA. I would think it is near impossible for a FAMILY to get 4 tickets for an All Ireland Final. People are lucky to get 1 ticket for an AI Final. Looking at the AI Hurling Semi Final where Cork had approx 70,000 fans, which in it self is remarkable. Good idea as there's usually lots of families of four who attend the All Ireland finals!!!!!!! Mind boggling stuff

They should do that but they won't. Prices should be lowered across the board as they are too high, attending matches is a very expensive day out. There is no point complaining about ticket prices however because the GAA don't care. Prices won't be lowered, they will continue to increase. What was the need for the GAA to put an extra €5 on All Ireland Hurling semi final tickets when those attendances are already very profitable due to the high level of attendance?? That is super capitalism. Call a spade a spade the GAA is a greedy, self serving organisation for whom maximising profits is their driving motivation. The cost of going to matches has priced a lot of people out and that is to the eternal shame of the GAA because it is against the principles on which the organisation was founded. It definitely looks that way. They need to be very careful though. I think once you hit the €100 threshold for an AI Final ticket, there then becomes no limit. 110, 125 wont be far away. They got The GAA part right, what it stood for was the Grab All Association. Concert season will be upon us soon after we get the football and hurling finished asap. More money for the boys who can't even keep the score.

The GAA was founded as a community and volunteer organisation and this greedy way of operating by the GAA runs contrary to that. A lot of people are being priced out by the cost of matches. Prices should be kept a level which everyone can afford. This is not the case. Also the season is much more condensed the GAA should be reducing prices to take account of that. There are a lot of people at All Ireland finals who probably have been at very few matches in their lives while genuine fans miss out because they can't afford to go or can't get tickets. Absolutely fair play to Jimmy McGuinness for standing up to the GAA. The GAA do not care about genuine fans, they are morally bankrupt . Jarlath Burns has been lauded as a great President but he has defended the greedy policies of the GAA saying they needed the GAA Go/+ money etc. The GAA is an amateur organisation they could get a lot less money and still run well. They do not need that money they want that money. If they just said we are just a greedy pack of b*****ds it would be more honest instead of this nonsense about the money being for stadia etc. They have yet to increase their offer of £15 million for Casement Park from over a decade ago. Yeah it's a shame the GAA is being run this way genuine fans will be priced out more and more in the future as it will simply become unaffordable for many.

The gombeens complaining about the 'Grab All Association' would want to take out last years Annual Report and have an ACTUAL look at the figures. Were it not for rental income from concerts and the like, the GAA would have run a small deficit. Most of the money raised through the GAA goes back to your own county boards to pay for, you know, the likes of Games Promotion Officers and so forth. And yes, the GAA does have problem childs like Cork, Mayo and certain clubs that they've had to bail out through mismanagement. The organisation doesn't run on fresh air, and would certainly cost far more to run were it not for the amatur ethos. I'd far rather give my 100eur for an All Ireland ticket than to a soccer club across the water or to our friends in the IRFU who are well fit to charge for games of less importance.
