Bit of bite to the game too. Isles man got the line. Both teams close enough to likely starting 15s next weekend.

Excited to get started now I must say.

Particularly looking forward to three Saturday evening home games.

Our own ambitions are humble enough for this year. Continue to develop the style, find a few players and don't get hammered while preparing for a good go at a rebuilding Leinster championship.

We could struggle to stay up but not too worried about that this year.

Congratulations to Na Fianna, Dublin hurling is on and upward trajectory

Looking forward to this weekend some decent games to look forward to.

In Division 1A

Wexford V Cork - Wexford Park is always a difficult place to go to if your an opposition team, but I think Cork are flying it at the moment and will probably have too much for Wexford.

Clare V Kilkenny - Two teams quietly doing their own thing, little or no talk out of them in the build up to the league so little or nothing to go on, Should be a good tight contest as always, but I think as its in Ennis I go for Clare by 3 points.

Galway V Tipperary - This could be a very tight game. I am expecting big things from Liam Cahill and Tipperary this year and by I know Micheal Donoghue is back in Galway but he is getting a 4 year term to rebuild a new team. I think this could be a draw.

In Division 1B

Dublin V Antrim - Very important match early on in the league but I actually think Croke Park will suit Dublin more than Antrim for this one and I think will win by 4 or 5 points.

Heart says Wexford, Head says Cork in the first game.
Kilkenny will name a much stronger team than Clare, who have a good few injuries, I think Kilkenny by 4.
Cahill will have Tipp flying early in the League, while MOD will likely name a pretty young/new team, Tipp by 3.
