Replying To Dessie_Cross:  "I might to the final if I have time to take from my busy schedule. Driving the lorries delivering fuel takes up all my time. Galway are formidable opponents. I'm hoping our bench and will to win can drag us over the line. Good luck to the Cross boys. Chucky Armagh!"
Hi Dessie, the match is on during the day. Couldn't disrupt anyone delivering fuel in the dead of night. Good luck in the final with a Brockagh man reffing you can't go wrong.

I think Galway will do it by a few points.

I was reading Keegans comments - he referenced the Connacht final in '21 when Mayo pushed them aside in the 2nd half. I had forgotten about that game - it has been some turnaround from them since then so credit do Joyce and the team.

Not sure who other Connacht counties will be shouting for - i would imagine around the Mayo / Galway border they will be doing orange parades up and down the roads if Armagh win but don't think that would represent the overall view. I am not bothered who wins it so its a nice way to watch a final.

What will happen if it ends in a draw? I hope the AI does not get decided by a penalty shootout?

Replying To ForeverBlue2:  "I find it strange Mick that the GAA would appoint an Ulster ref when an Ulster team is in the Final.. this makes no sense to me as it opens up the possibility of ridicule should anything controversial happen on the day… Hurson may indeed be a good ref but why would the GAA leave themselves wide open like this when the more sensible and professional thing to do was appoint a ref from Leinster or Munster..?"
I know what you mean Forever but once the ref is not from one of the counties playing the gaa dont take the province into account.Meath refs have reffed at least 3 Football finals on the recent past and David Gough has even been a member of a Dublin gaa club and reffed Dublin in finals.Probably better to have a ref with no connections but it can work both ways as the ref might tend to go easier on one team in case he is seen to be biased. In truth its very hard to pleaae everyone but I do think Hurson is the best football ref in the country.

Im open to correction but I think in the event of a draw there is extra time but if it ends in acdraw after extra time it goes to a replay.

I reckon alot of the Ulster posters will go for Galway to win as I don't think Armagh are too popular among other Ulster Counties.
Possibley alot of the Dubs/Leinster heads would prefer Armagh, it will be interesting to see who our Connaught neighbours will swing towards.......they will most likely say oh like Armagh to win but Galway have the better team!!"
Judging by the score predictions thread as expected alot of Ulster Counties are predicting Galway to win!

Yes a huge majority.
So far 8 predictions from Ulster.
A massive 5 for Galway and a tiny 3 fir Armagh.
Even your predictions on predictions are off.

Armagh lads/lasses

Can I ask

What in your opinion is the playing population of your county?

Galway should win this handy enough. All their support showing up for their third game of the year. no where to be seen prior to Dublin game. Paul Conroy will get his deserved All Ireland All medal. Will love to see Mayo guard of honour next January.

That means Armagh will win given your prediction record this year?

Like all the support the Limerick footballers get or the hurlers prior to the All Irelands

Better update your name… No Limerick for Liam 2024. Reminds me of a poster here from Galway (Trump2020). He never updated it… Anyway Kamala Harris for President 2024! I think half the people posting on this site, live outside Ireland… like me!

Yes! Unfortunately we can't roll back the clock, and referee error marred a great game! Armagh have had their own controversies, not least losing important games on penalties!
