Just accept you're not that into football and like trotting out platitudes to impress your fellow spoofers

We will see how good a place it is in if Hearts can get to the Conference League play offs. I for one hope they do and then precede to draw Rovers because Scottish clubs outside the Old Firm always mess the bed against Irish clubs eoghan6688 (Galway) - Posts: 158 - 17/12/2024 19:33:04 2583901 Link 1 |
I'll explain it for you (and I'm a Liverpool fan). It was a poor game and United actually deserved it in the end because they went for it when it went level while city froze. Now you can say on paper city have a miles better team and you'd be 100% correct but it don't always work out like that. Liverpool beat Ac Milan in 2005, Real beat Liverpool in the final a few years ago when Liverpool absolutely battered them but didn't on the scoreline. The sometimes unpredictable nature of sport….thats why we love it. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11426 - 17/12/2024 20:39:50 2583907 Link 2 |
You should change your handle to Forevermoaning. Who or what do ye blame for the poorest standard of football? The back pass, the managers, the keep ball system, like your waffle about the GAA football you've never anything positive to say.

Didn't really 'batter' them. Madrid had a goalkeeper who could do his job. Liverpool had a right back who couldn't do his. That was the difference. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5212 - 18/12/2024 00:24:34 2583923 Link 0 |
Have you forgotten your comments about the outgoing Irish government being a "sinking ship"?

How about… Utd were brilliant in a wonderful game and the GAA football championship was never more exciting and entertaining…. All a load of horse manure but it suits the narrative

And it was never going to be - that was what I said at the time. But you said the writing was on the wall for FG and it wasn't. You were wrong about Varadkar's reasons for resigning and you should be man enough to admit that now.

Varadker didn't resign he was pushed… the dogs in the streets knows that..! He was a disastrous leader for FG…. Lost over 40 seats under him

Over 40? They went from 50 in 2016 election to 34 in 2020 election. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5212 - 18/12/2024 14:29:16 2583996 Link 0 |
Firstly he did resign. It's literally what he did. Secondly lost over 40 seats under his leadership ? Over 40?

It was put out as resigning but he was pushed make no mistake about that…. From 2011 to 2020 FG lost 43 seats.. Varadker was put in to stop the slide but it only got worse, hence he got the bullet… It's a well known fact to anybody in the know….!

Ah here you go now trying to say your words aren't exactly what you meant to say. Most leaders resign before they are forced to. That's how things work in most jobs where someone resigns. I mean everyone knows that. You can spin your words any way you want. And now to make yourself look less silly you are going back to 2011 as if that has any relevance to what you posted. If you are going to post something stupid then own. You said they lost 80 seats under his leadership. Own your words instead of talking nonsense. Correct. His position became untenable after the referendums last March. Harris looks a more confident, streetwise, leader than Varadkar. Time will tell. Neither of them have the experience or the authority of Michael Martin.
