Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "The problem for Mayo is that they still need a result v Donegal. They've won the wrong game from their first two. Losing to the 4th seed in the group leaves teams in a bad spot in this round robin format. Will be a shame if they exit on a Cavan head to head, after that display tonight"
You are right. How stupid of them to win this evening knowing they lost to Cavan and have Donegal next. They should have just lost the other 2 games as expected.

Jasus Mayo football can do your head in. Match to match we have no idea what team will show up. It's a rabbit hole no one that values their sanity should go down.
Fantastic game today and great win. Now it's all down to Donegal in two weeks. Still no idea where it will be played.
We live in hope for two more weeks.

Mayo deserved that. Tyrone very poor though. No consistency.

I know I'm right, and I wasn't intending to be sarcastic or facetious, unlike yourself.

Tyrone were poor alright and funnily enough the win probably changes nothing for us. That Cavan defeat was very damaging and we go into the final game against Donegal needing to win it to stay in the championship:

You're correct we need to win the Donegal game now so nothing has changed. At least we played a more direct attacking (at times) game which we've rarely seen the last three years.

Dont assume Donegal are winning today. Nerves high. The one week break v two week break is serious disadvantage on top of all the other Ulster games we have played.

If Donegal win today though the final game will be more crucial for Mayo for sure. Assuming Tyrone beat Cavan, Donegal could find themselves finishing 2nd or 3rd whereas Mayo will be facing elimination with defeat. Should Donegal ease off in said scenario knowing they'll have two more games in as many weeks. A titanic battle with Mayo would leave nothing in the tank for the rest of the blitz championship.

A draw will do Mayo, if Cavan lose their 2 remaining games, which seems likely.

Congratulations on yesterday. Delighted for ye especially with all the noise in the background. Serious guts. Hope ye go on and beat Donegal.

The upside of all this is a win against Donegal will have Mayo top of the group and straight into a quarter final. So in a way, for the most optimistic of supporters, the loss to Cavan doesn't make a massive difference! As it is now, they need a result one way or another against Donegal so a draw should be the last thing on their mind. All of this is under the assumption (that everyone else seems to be making as well) that Cavan are going to lose their last two games, not guaranteed by any means. There could be a few more twists and turns before this group is finished!

Congrats Mayo, that will calm down all the noise from the experts. Up the west.

These group rounds are hard to predict which makes it great this year going into Round 3 with plenty to play for. Cavan in Breffni Park will be a serious test for Donegal.

The same as the national league on the last day. A loss would have seen Mayo regelated but the win seen them into the final. Now in two weeks a loss sees us out of the All Ireland series but a win sees us straight into the quarter finals.
Mayo never do things the easy way, taking Cavan lightly was a disaster and they the management and players took Cavan lightly.

The same, but different. Donegal were trying to lose that NFL game, so as to avoid a league final. They'll be trying to win this championship fixture. Big difference.

A loss won't see Mayo out of the championship if Cavan beat Tyrone. Unlikely but certainly possible.

Ye are red hot favourites now. Will be interesting to see if our lads can put in back to back performances.
Anyone who says there is no jeopardy in the groups is wrong.

Anyone know when we will know the dates/times/venues?
