Agreed it's a chance to build on the momentum of the last few months, was looking forward to see what lads were lining out for their clubs and particularly the county lads after their long season. Hopefully it'll return for Round 2.

In fairness most teams dont put up the correct teams so its not as if you are missing something

Replying To Gaawestmeath:  "The groups having 3 come out of each group, even though one is weaker makes no sense but I wouldn't bring league tables into it. Finea and Killucan are two examples over the years of being notoriously bad in the league due to lads on county panels. Tang used to be the other way and were in D1 while being intermediate.
Saying it's a mini junior group is very disrespectful to the teams in it. They are all above junior standard. They might not be at the level of the top few in group A but that's the same in the senior championship too. Tubberclare just won their first game aswell which shows the strength of the competition they won."
Have to stick to my statement it is a mini junior group and that point will be proven at the semi final stage when a team from B meets one of the top 3 teams in group A. Shandonagh missing 2 county lads prob favourites , Milltown look strong , Then its between Malachys and Milltownpass. Interesting that Milltownpass play Malachys next that will decide the third placed team and with Sam Duncan to come , Malachys need to get a result there.

May not be 100% correct teams but it stills gives you an idea of who's playing for their clubs, who might be injured, young players that are been given a chance or lads that may have come back from abroad. Ronan O Toole for example. It's not a huge pile to ask for the team sheets to be put up.

They still list the panel and use the same submitted numbers. So yes we are missing a lot.

Seems like a lot of injuries for a lot of clubs, the team that keeps injuries down have the best chance, every game i seen at weekend 3-4 players who i expected to play or i would have on the 15 were injured.
The downs obviously missing a few and Lomans with the addition of O'Toole can only get better, i thought on paper lomans would have won handy, first half was very poor watching, i am sure they will meet again. Kinnegad looked very slick at times wit pace and running but thats the worst i have seen in garrycastle in a while and only for there Goalkeeper saving 2-3 1 vs 1s and a penalty, it could have been much worse, they must have giving the ball away 10-15 times first half, expected a lot more from Mchugh and Gardiner. I Travelled to Athlone friday to watch Moate and Tubberclare, expected a lot more from Moate but was impressed by Wesmeath Goalkeeper in first half especially playing at midfield, Tubberclare much better second half and some great two pointers, Keelan Connell was the stand out, brought on some really experienced subs in second half and if can add those experienced fellas and Whitaker back they could go deep. Moate will need there injuries to heal very fast.

no real shocks over the weekend but some of the margins were a bit surprising. Looking like Kilbeggan and St. Josephs in the Junior, Intermediate will likely be Milltown or Shandonagh I think but Milltownpass or Malachys wont be far behind. Cant see anyone from Section B making a run at it. Crazy that one of Milltownpass or Malachys will likely be out and 2 of St.Marys, Ballymore or Ballinagore will make the QF. Either team would likely top section B.

Was surprised to see Garrycastle bet by such a margin and could mean they dont progress now, Tubberclair off to a flyer with Athlone in section B. Still think it will be Downs/Lomans who'll win it
