Replying To Temple56:  "Shamrocks will win the championship you heard it here first."
People laughed at me when I said this few weeks ago. They are the only team in the county Lomans fear!

The Downs v Killucan looks like being a very interesting game in final round.
Shamrocks well deserving of their win today. Their two goals were top class.
And shout out to Malachy's who have stayed up with a game spare. Serious going.

A Killucan win versus The Downs would eliminate The Downs? Castledaly relegated in Intermediate section A.

Shamrocks performed very well tonight indeed but talk of them as threat to Lomans is hilarious.
Downs will be doing good to beat Killucan on this evidence.
Lomans lads in the Bloomfield today in prep for tomorrows game they looked so focused.
Lomans biggest threat is themselves.
Tpass and Athlone draw as predicted tho real opportunity missed for both teams to get march on bottom half.
Super win for Malachys as for Shandonagh shocking bad team

Final round in various championships shaping up nicely with some cracking fixtures to play. Second place in senior Section A is still all to play for, Tyrrellspass on five points may not be enough, winners of Athlone vs Tang could finish second. Shamrocks will finish top of section B regardless of Malachy's result, Malachy's could finish on six points which could make them joint second although unlikely. Moate vs Shandonagh will be relegation decider even if Moate win tomorrow. Killucan versus The Downs should' be very interesting with so much at stake and a local derby. Garrycastle and Milltown favourites to make intermediate semi finals but Rosemount have exceeded all expectations and are also in contention and their match versus Milltown will decide a semi final berth. Milltownpass should get to four points with Castledaly to play in last game but Tubberclair could get to five with a win over Garrycastle. Bunbrosna had an excellent win in junior championship as did Ballycomoyle

Heard of some very strange changes on the St. Lomans team for today so I'm tipping a Kinnegad win. I'm not sure if Lomans are purposely putting out a weaker team because they are all but through to a semi final but there are a number of changes and positional changes, in particular leaving out John Heslin and Peter Foy for today's game is a dangerous channel to go down. Maybe this is all mind Joh, but this is big game, and if this backfires Kinnegads title challenge could come alive again. If you're a betting man, might be worth a pop on Kinnegad today.

Great to see promoted clubs doing so well, Kilbeggan facing Rochfortbridge today for an intermediate quarterfinal spot, fantastic going after junior win, Malachy's in a tough section B in senior and already safe with one game left and an outside chance of quarter final. All that minus David Lynch, Niall O' Brien, Aonghus Clarke, Shane Corcoran not playing full games and huge hurling commitments. New manager also. Malachy's have been excellent in every game bar Killucan.

Im sure Lomans would want to see Kinnegad out of this championship-if Lomans win and Caulry beat Tang then its a head to head battle in last game-Kinnegad v Caulry-one team relegated to B and the other in 1/4 final-a game which could go either way so this is nonsence that Lomans would field a weakened team today.

What does "seeing" someone have to do with them being available to play today? Take or leave this information but Heslin, Flanagan and Foy aren't playing/ or starting today, it's a wet and miserable day, Kinnegad have a good chance.

Is there any update on the junior 2 championship? Seems to be a bit of a mess of a competition with plenty of meetings to decide 1 or 2 groups

I see we now have minor hurling & football managers appointed. Any word on U20 in both codes? Mckeogh a good appointment for hurlers, he will have them well organized & has good experience. Not sure on Geoghegan for the football, has he managed anyone previously? Obviously a talented bunch coming through so they will be expected to do well. Anyway, good luck to both.

Sean Flanagan has been out with an injury. Foy was an impact sub last year so wouldn't be abuse surprise. If Heslin isn't starting it has to be some sort of injury

They all started all 3 games before this so the information is pretty relevant, no? For what reason they don't start today is irrelevant, I'm saying they're not starting today and it might impact the game, is there something wrong with saying this?lol Fine I'll keep information to myself in future, I was Interested to see how you all thought the game would unfold with these lads missing… I'll go on my merry way! lol

David Geoghan what an inspiring appointment for u17 county manager. After the last management team which by all accounts was very weak and full of excuses, wouldn you think the county board would try headhunt someone with some pedigree. His experience at adult level is carrying water bottles for Lomans. Anyway with that said best i do wish them luck we need to start been competitive again at this level.
