They should have this shower dead and buried.

What excuse will Glen Ryan havethis time? Complaaned about advantages in Croke Park yet wwe beat them by a much bigger margin in Nowlan Park. He'd also wantvto learn to be more gracious in defeat. His handshake with Dessie Farrell was very unsporting.

Apparently Dublin got the home dressing room. Noticeable that Kildare warmed up very late. Dubs were warming up 25m before throw-in. Kildare came out very late. As I always say, the problem with these ultra-defensive teams is that they generally don't have a plan B when the opposition goes 4 or 5 up. We just picked them off when the gaps began to appear but we also made some silly mistakes and our backs were at sea for spells. We couldn't catch a cold in midfield either. A good result but a decent team would have made more hay against us today.

Just home - very enjoyable long day. OLG was perfect place to park, get food and drink, with the stadium across the road.

Surprised only 8,250 down there today.

Better than last day but still need to improve.

Great to hear Dessie roar at the lads to up the tempo in the 2nd half, when we were passing it around trying to find an opening.

Delighted for Collie and also thought Howard played well.

Was in OLG myself. Perfect spot. €5 for parking and €5 a pint. Ye can't go wrong.

A bit if whinger to be fair, teams are way better off without the "siege mentality", the bag of chips on their shoulders and few heavy crosses to carry.

Better performance, some nice scores
Basquel is more than capable of that level, hopefully more to come, himself and Con linked up well.

Far better, Roscommon game may have brought them on.

Some reckon they might given him until the knock out stages just to avoid a setback. It seems like an injury that won't go away unfortunately. Don't have stats but my impression is that he has rarely played a full game?

I'd say though they will be looking to start strong the next day and hope to build up a good lead and maybe wind down depending on what's happening in the other game.

Jack is up there as one of the best footballers Dublin has ever produced but his career has been blighted with injuries

He's won it all but more often than not he's had to limp off before the final whistle

As a fan of Dublin he's been a privilege to support, his availability will be massively important to am AI hopes this year, I'd wrap him up for as long as possible and use him as an impact sub, that pace and directness is a game changer when it's needed, I don't think he has it in him at the moment to start a game and finish it.

Tweaked a hamstring against Louth. As long as it wasn't a tear or severe strain, I would have thought 4 weeks max. I wouldn't risk him against Sligo but we'll need him after that. He gives us a completely different dimension.

No doubt Jack is a game changer but his hamstrings won't get through a full game. Unfortunately Eoin Murchan has also been injured for me Dublin don't win AI with at least one of them.

Do we need to talk about Collie.

Hes been a bit of a surprising boon, scoring and general play, always had it at club but is he laying down a flag now at county.

IMO. Con, Mannion, Kilkenny and Costello pick themselves. After that you picking two from maybe
Deano
Scully
Paddy Small
O"Gara
Bugler
Collie
O'Dell

Scully plays a particular role. Great baller but you're not going to get 3-4 points a game from. Deano is arguably our best point taker from play and set piece. Small and O'Gara may be too like Mannion to get a start with Paul. Would have been great if Archer hadn't got that ban and had carried his form forward. What an option he would be. I'd probably go with Scully and Deano myself.

I think Bugler near has to be in too with Scully, Collie and Paddy getting significant game time.

Basquel deserves his start the next day, hopefully continues his form.

I'd have himself and Bugler in there, but it's not always about who starts, Dubs bench is stronger this year.

There's different options and setups that can be put together to suit the opposition, I'd say competition is very healthy in training at the moment

But for the love of feck.. go easy on Con!!!!

I thought his ban was overturned on video evidence. I saw the incident and there was nothing in it.

Ban was overturned but he hasn't been in the mix so I'd rule him out this year.
