His club Brownstown and the Archerstown area would be right next to the border, the nearest secondary school to him would have been Athboy. I'd imagine he was invited to go to Mullingar CBS for the hurling too, Adrian Moran, Micheal Lawlor and co are driving it there big time and making great strides at A level at all age grades. Senior B Pollard v crookedwood: pollard will struggle if Darragh McCormack is out but should have enough to get over the wood by the end of it Plunketts v Brownstown: at the start of the year I would have said that plunketts would dispose of Brownstown easily, now I am tipping Brownstown to get the nod by 2 Ringtown v Bridget's: ringtown to win by 2-3 here Gaels v Clonkill: clonkill were impressive in the last 2 rounds and will have another dimension with Luke, peader and Jordi smyth back into the fold, can see a clonkill win by 3 here blowing the championship right back open Delvin v daltons: daltons to consolidate their senior status here and relegate delvin Castletown v Raharney: game of the weekend here, Raharney to make it 4/4 and put themselves in the driving seat to qualify direct for the final westmeathgaa11 (Westmeath) - Posts: 372 - 18/08/2026 10:41:43 2690259 Link

Gaels v Clonkill Hurling isnt football so i dont think Loughlin will be 100% but Mitchell and Dara Egerton will be near 100% Tight but LLG Raharney v Castletown. I think its almost impossible to call.Raharney have been winning but hardly setting the World on fire. In 24 and 25 tgey failed when the chips were down so this is a huge test. Draw Delvin v Fr Daltons On all known form has to be Daltons but there will surely be a kick in Delvin Daltons Crookedwood v Castlepollard If Pollard dont have Mccormack and Gaffney they will be vulnerable but should scrape home Brownstown v Plunketts Very hard to call. Mary's are probably doing more to develop young hurlers than even our county development squads. Their persistence to play at A level is paying off as they've been very competitive and reaching the last 4 in almost all age groups. The senior team were unlucky against Kilkenny CBS, they can definitely reach a Leinster final with talent like Conor Williams, Dillon Burke, MJ Long etc and throwing in Conor Raleigh into that has the makings of an exciting team. I'm not sure if Kian Loughlin will be there next year or not, if anyone knows? He has been outstanding for Clonkill seniors so far this year. Surely we will have an u19 team for all them minor lads, a lot of talent in that group. They were unlucky the way the format went against them, they were as good as Galway, Wexford etc. Perhaps Ger Beehan could take an u19 development team? Any truth in Adrian Moran being involved with the u20s again? He obviously has done well in the past with a good group, maybe he sees that there is quality there for the next 3 years he can work with. The top three places in championship decided after The Gaels beat Clonkill by 3 points tonight in a thrilling game. The Gaels have 8 points, Raharney have 6, Castletown 4 and Clonkill on 2 with Raharney facing Castletown tomorrow and Delvin to play Fr. Dalton's in the relegation decider. Any of the top three could still make the final still with Raharney against the Gaels in the last round. Clonkill have improved a lot since last year and their younger players will get better. Luke Meyler and Kian Loughlin were very impressive, the Gaels showed their experience and definitely seem the team to beat overall. Great game, Clonkill hurled well but the Gaels experience told in the end. I thought Kian Loughlin was excellent once again for Clonkill and Meyler as mentioned already. I expect the game today between CTG and Raharney to be as entertaining as yesterday's. CTG will be still without Peter Clarke who is serving a one game suspension from last year, I think David O'Reilly, David Maloney and Naoise McKenna may make an appearance even off the bench.
