The final score last night wasnt a fair/accurate reflection on Louths effort last night.

Gave it their all , but ultimately overpowered by a class/slick/fast Tyrone team, who seemed to make scores with ease, and then take them with relative ease.

A howler from our goalie at the end of the first half was a sickner, a short kick out when in the first half our midfielders were catching balls from the heavens , superb fielding to watch .

We gave it another good rattle for a while in second half, the goal chance which smacked the cross bar, then Tryone up the field to score was the death knell really.

Cant comment the team enough for their effort this season, great turn out of Louth fans in Armagh last night.
Fergal Reel taking no comfort from making the final, you are there to win it he said.

Well done Tyrone, their conveyor belt of young talent shows no sign of stopping, thankfully we are getting towards a better level with our underage players.

Hard luck last night. It's unreal how a game can change so much In a few minutes. Ye could have taken it to the wire if ye took your chances. Ye are obviously doing a lot right in louth so the future is bright

Very proud of Fergal and the team last night. They gave it their best to the very end. We were unfortunate on a number of occasions in both defence and attack. There are great prospects in this team and I'm sure we will have many more exciting days. Thank you all. It was powerful to see the big Louth support in Armagh. Newry is just up the road on Saturday . We can win this one.
Congratulations to Tyrone.

Very well said 19616609. This is a great Louth team. Unfortunately wee did not take our chances but Tyrone did. It summed up Louth on Wednesday night when they were 2 or 3 points down and went for goal and hit the crossbar. Tyrone straight away went down the pitch and scored a goal. Congrats to Tyrone. They have won the last 3 out of 4 All Irelands.

Very quiet here since Newry last Saturday.

Great effort in second half, but left themselves far too much to do, yes ref called some dodgy decisions, but Down were flying through us with ease in first half , better team won, just . What a block by the Down defender as Tommy pulled the trigger to point the equalizer.

We looked very tired and off the pace first half, wind against us or not.

2 things i notice in the qualifiers, Tommy Durnin targeted to negate his normal driving influence, and he needs help around the middle of the field, nobody seems to be picking up the baton well enough to help.

Conor grimes with his wild kicking and running into corners , seems to be doing a lot more of it lately.

Clare Sunday week, hopefully we get the win and see where we end up.

Dont want the summer ending just yet !

It was a great comeback, but like you said they had just given themselves too much to do. On the block at the end, I've heard a lot of talk about it, but to be honest it looked all day like it was going to be blocked. I didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary.
The issue for Durnin is he turned back into the tackle to hit it off his right. This made it very easy for the kick to be blocked. He would have plenty room to kick it unimpeded if he tried it off his left, which is how we was facing initially.
Now I understand he was carrying a knock at that stage and also probably out on his feet, but he had kicked a great score off his left not too long before that.
Good defending for sure, but I thought it was routine enough.

I know some will disagree but I don't know why Tommy was going for an equaliser on Saturday when we should have been trying to win the game. Down had a +17 point difference while we're on - 6. It's extremely unlikely we would win by enough against Clare or Down would lose by enough to put us in 2nd in the group.

Don't know what the thought process was in that last passage of play,I can't see how a draw was of any use to Louth, they needed to win bottlom line,if he had of kicked it and leveled it up they wer going to have to give Clare a fair beating and hope Monaghan beat Down well to pip 2nd spot,if they had of been composed and got 2 pointer, they wud of had a far better chance of getting 2nd in my opinion,1 pt win over Clare and Monaghan win wud of been enough, draw game Saturday means they still can't afford to lose v Clare which is the same scenario as losing......

Had to calm Down after that game so only replying now. How can we win when only playing for 35 minutes? Let team go 11 to 1 up after 20 minutes. Great in second half after Dara was introduced, made a difference and I hope he improves. Did it in 6 games between League and championship this year, Westmeath, Roscommon, Monaghan twice, Kildare and Meath in Leinster final. What are we at, can we not play in the first 20 minutes? We have a great team but why are we such slow starters. Can't blame the wind and the rain rubbish. If we get past Clare we will meet Div 1 teams that will not let us recover and regroup at half time. If we are close in any game at half time we are in with a great chance as we seem to be a second half team. Clare are no mugs, were well ahead of Monaghan at half time and they turned it around. We have been warned ⚠️

Dara did make a difference and I'd be inclined to include the 2 u20 midfielders going forward. We cant expect Tommy to play midfield full time continuously and grimes is beginning to look his age also. I can't understand why we didn't try to get burns on the ball more often, definitely our most lethal forward of late. Clare won't be a cat walk more a dog fight. Only saving grace is that a draw will suffice but we have to be careful

Another slow start from Louth which wee have seen quite regularly during this year. You can't give teams big leads and expect to come back. Some crowd at the match which delayed the match by 10 minutes. It's a winner takes it all now against Clare which won't be a walk in the park.

Yeah I'm heading myself. It's gonna be interesting to see how the Louth minors react after losing to Offaly in the Leinster final.

This is a very good minor team. They were the better team in Newbridge but Offaly put in a brilliant finish and their goalie got a couple of great two pointers to win the Leinster. I am hopeful our minors can go a long way. Good support in Breffnie will help them along on Saturday evening.
