When is the Carlow GAA Congress? And what new proposals are clubs putting forward? Will the vote for championship fixtures/format be at congress or at a County Board meeting later in the year?

First of all I never once said carlow hurling isnt operating at a higher level than football actually the contrary I have time and time again said how Carlow hurlers are overachieving and that although they will falter soon we are in the glory days at county level. I simply made the point at 'SENIOR' club level both codes have had very similar fortunes of late that was it. A win is a win a loss is a loss, performance is really secondary in this context. No idea why you are bringing up grange either since they werent part of the conversation.
You honestly just go off on tangents and make up things to suit your narrative - YOU LITERALLY SAID lets revisit this in a couple of weeks, so I am revisiting it? You told me to do something and I have done it? Again the manner of defeat irrelevant when revisiting a result in this context.
Portarlington were missing 2 players from their starting county final so again... not true. I would also wager Portarlington would be a lot closer to winning leinster football champ than naas would in hurling. You are arguing with yourself. Please read before you type"
How do you know Carlow hurling 'will falter soon?' Underage results are not as good as they were ten years ago, but we are still competitive. The minors beat Kildare and Kerry this year.
Whether Portarlington or Naas are closer to winning Leinster, well let's see. But the fact is MLR competed with Naas and Old Leighlin were miles behind Port.
Naomh Bríd beat the Westmeath champions, whereas Grange were torn asunder by Kildare.

It's Convention, not Congress. And it's in Tinryland in four weeks time.
Have heard murmurs they want to extend the Senior Football to 10 teams. if so, it will just further lower football standards in the county. Grange are not good enough for senior football and neither are Ballon (yet).
If anything, they should cut it to six teams with all playing each other once. It would give two more games for each side than at present and mean the top teams meet every year (like in hurling).
Carlow's last hope for a semi final spot this weekend in Leinster with the junior football championship. fairly embarrassing that no club can be seen as a top 4 in their grade at Leinster level. Anybody know if the Fighting Cocks have any hope or if they have an interest in moving forward or is it a case of just turning up for the fixture?

Ah will you stop trying to drag the hurlers into the football gutter! Naas are in their 3rd Leinster semi in 4 years. On previous two occasions came close to defeating na fianna and ballyhale, winners of 2 of the last 3 all Irelands, and expect them to be very close the next day! MLR failed on Sunday, narrowly, due to youth and inexperience at that level.. but aren't far of as recent games against ballygunner, kilcormac and Slaughneil proved. get out to the matches and see for yourself what's going on.
