I was at the UL game also, and he was a standout player, which is brilliant for the county as he's only 21.They are playing during the week in a quarter-final against Mary I, and best of luck to him. I also think Kyle is playing during the week for Waterford (not 100 percent sure if it's Carlow's Kyle Foley anyone able to confirm?). Either way, best of luck.

Brilliant for the county to see footballers getting off to a start, with many players standing out. It's not easy to go up there and get a result a brilliant weekend. Roll on next weekend…"
Yes I believe the Kyle Foley playing sigerson cup for Waterford is one of the Carlow Kyle Foleys. If not mistaken there are three lads of the same name and all around the same age! There's one from the town, one plays for myshall and one for MLR. Which is which I dunno at this stage but I believe it's one of them that's playing with Waterford.

That's good to hear at least. He must have had some kind of injury though as I'd imagine that game was tailor made for him today and he'd surely have been brought in if fit. Hopefully he's ok for next week. A win and we'll be well set up for promotion as the first two games seem our toughest on paper.

For the hurlers job done, one we needed a win from if we are to stay up. (Two down, two up ?). We won well in the end and heartening to see other players step to the fore and prove we are not a one player team. Good mix of youth and experience is what you need, with a few to come back hopefully from injury.

Probably Wexford scraping the win yesterday is better for us when we play them, facing them off a loss would not have been great. Realistically the Kildare game away is the other best chance of a win and they are on-the-up as we know. We need to see how they are in the mix when we play them - they could cause a surprise yet.

Footballers did the business today and from the wireless commentary seemed to have been dominant in the second half. Great to have won the first match esp away from home. Wicklow is a huge game, big local derby, very little in it between us normally. Win it and we have a really genuine shot at promotion. Saying that over the Div 4always throws up a totally random result with most teams able of beating the other. Good spread of scorers, with probably the best panel I can ever remember? Some top lads not even making the bench - Foley, Walker, Phiri, Clarke … but the season is only young yet. Imagine even, the standard is so high Pal only has one county level player!!

Great to have a weekend where both senior sides win …

Ceatharlach Abu !!

Welcome to the age of social media engagement unfortunately. Incredibly cringe but it's trying to appeal to people, see it everywhere.
