The irony of you on here complaining about someone complaining.

But as it turns out Jim or the players had nothing to do about the statement from the board. The board are simply trying to look after the player welfare regarding a 6 day turnaround after 9 games in 12 weeks. The Gaelic Players' Association also backed the boards statement..

Unbelievable 2nd half performance today. Massive credit to all the lads for turning that one around.

Seemed to be no injuries picked up thankfully. Great to have a week off now to look forward to the semi final!

Hardly a huge surprise that a well read man like you doesn't understand the word compatriot.

100% correct FootballGuy. Didn't stop certain journalists, pundits and posters attributing statements to him all week when the poor man hadn't opened his mouth since the Louth match.

Donegal are a class team in full flow and Mayo would have had a couple of All Irelands in the last 10 years if he was the manager but you can't actually be serious thinking Jim had no idea that statement was going out. Absolutely nothing happens without his approval. Nothing.

In all fairness to eddie i thought we were bate at ht too. What a second half, conor o donnell came of age today, really impressive performance when we needed it. That will bring his confidence on loads. Langans goal...the power, the finish. If we play like we did in the first half again we'll not go any further, but in 2nd half, we look like a team thats....im not gona say it!!! But we march on, what a summer

An absolutely astounding second half performance. No matter what happens from here, these lads have given us some brilliant days. Stuff that we'll be telling our grandchildren about. Driving up and down to Dublin in the one day is tight enough going, but I still had adrenaline coursing through me as I crossed the bridge in Lifford. Unreal, just unreal.

We can enjoy Sunday now, and see who else joins ourselves & Tyrone in the semis.

As an added bonus, it will seemingly annoy the **** out of some adolescent boys here from other counties who mustn't be getting the shift on a regular basis. Do young wans still use "shift"? Probably not but most of yez will probably know what I mean.

A powerful outfit who when they're all motoring together are hard to stop as the second half against Monaghan showed. However they'll need to do it for the full 70 if they want SAM back. Their biggest obstacle is themselves.

I was so happy about that second half performance. The most pleasing thing being that it was a team performance. Apart from murphy and roarty i dont think anyone alse hit a wide. Monaghan didn't know what hit them and kind of folded.

For all the positives of the second half the first half was not ideal. For all Monaghans really good press on the kickouts pattons ankle is definitely curtailing him. Hopefully the two weeks will help him. Teams will go after the donegal kick out in the semi. Donegal did hit 11 points and monaghan only managed 5 in the second half so that was quite decent. Fair play to Thompson for getting two 2 pointers. Monaghan did struggle to get two pointers in the second half and were guilty of forcing them too much.

Mcgonagle was missed at times today. O'hanlon and a few plays caused us a lot of bother though Mcgonagles pace and positional sense would have helped cover that off.
The subs made real impact obaoill added plenty energy and have a number of assists. Mcbrearty also got some space to kick 2 scores. Mcgee gave patton a real target for the kickouts.

Also although not kicking it hugely they did play with their heads up and kicked it when it was on and that is a good thing, it keeps opposition guessing a little more and can open the play. The goal came off a little dink pass into murphy.
Anyhow great to be back in the semi and fair play to the team for another really enjoyable day.

We'll put it down to a few pints too many after celebrating in Drumcondra last night lad.

Do you worry your wee head about it :)

Great second half yesterday. Kudos to Ciaran Thompson in the first half for keeping us in the game with those big two pointers..

We probably should have had a goal before Patton's meltdown.

We really need to work on scenarios like those that happened to Shaun as it's not the first time he kinda hits self destruct for periods. I was shouting at him to just boot it long and maybe lose possession high up the pitch than risky half chips that cost us the goal and a good few points too.

Think our conditioning and fitness told for second half.

Surprisingly of all four teams I saw yesterday we were the only teams not pulling up with cramps or players stretching out. All those games appear to be an advantage in the end.

And what a turnaround with those legs

Amazingly this is first time a Donegal side have reached back to back All Ireland semi finals.. Let's hope we can go one better in two weeks.

We could charge you for all the needless time you spend hating and berating us. That should help the training fund too.
