Replying To alalalalalum:  "Not really, a look at Roscommon shows more than half the senior titles have been won by one team this century so far!! A one team competition is certainly not a high standard in fairness.

In the same period 11 clubs in Leitrim have won senior titles. Which one is more competitive and exciting?"
Yes really. No side has been able to retain the Roscommon Senior title since 2017 and has been 4 different winners in that time. The likes of Boyle,Roscommon Gaels,Glaveys if they ever get the chance to play in Connacht would be well able to hold their own against the best in Galway,Mayo.

Replying To foreveryoung:  "Jaysus, that was a bating and a half! I'd say the junior champions in Galway would probably win the Senior county title in Leitrim, if they were in it!

Leitrim Gaels (Leitrim) 1-9 Moycullen (Galway) 4-13, Pearse Stadium FT"
I was down at the game. More worrying Moycullen didn't even get out of second gear. Leitrim Gaels were poor all around the park and totally out classed. Kinda shows where Leitrim football is at, fair play to Aughavas, first leitrim team to reach a Connacht club Final since elsin in 2010.

Replying To bláthach:  "Well done to Aughavas on their win today thanks everyone. Despite what some please "experts" from neighbouring counties thanks would have us believe please our clubs had no chance. They obviously don't know much thank you so much."
Nor do you much thanks please

Junior b football can be competitive and exciting, however this doesn't mean it's good quality. The Roscommon intermediate champions would give Leitrim Gaels a beating, if we're all being honest.

On a positive note serious win for Aughavas. Hope they give Kiltimagh a serious rattle.

For Leitrim's sake, one would hope that a side like Allen Gaels, who defeated every other team in the championship by roughly fifteen points, might at least offer a semblance of resistance to the Roscommon intermediate champions, who themselves only dispatch relegation contenders by eight or more. I believe, and I'm quite sure you would agree were it not for the green-and-gold tinted glasses, that any team reaching the last eight of the Roscommon intermediate championship would comfortably account for Allen Gaels. I'd be interested to hear ur reasoning as to why this would not be the case

The loss of Casey and Breen cannot be underestimated Leitrim g defence very light without them.

I'd rather the championship be exciting and competitive than the one team winning it all the time, like Roscommon. Super.

Why does it worry you so? Why do you have to be on our thread talking this raimeis? There's plenty of guff merchants on your own thread to keep you entertained, where you can tickle each others bellies and repeatedly tell yourselves how great Roscommon is at everything. I couldn't give two flying bats about how your championship is running, although I know it is a one team affair for the most part, this century anyway. 13 wins in 26 years tells the tale and the piper plays that particular tune.

Now best of luck to all in your county and may you have many happy posts about how you compete with the big boys as you get relegated again. Super.

That's nice news. But have it on your own thread. Maybe your championship is improving and other clubs have decided to stop it becoming a one team affair. Super.

Leitrim Gaels beat Strokestown convincingly in a challenge game two weeks ago, thanks.

Actually Strokestown played Leitrim Gaels in a game before their respective Connacht club games and Leitrim Gaels won.

So there ya go now, that answers that!!
