I believe he was on the panel 2 or 3 years ago but suffered from a few injuries so didn't get any game time

Alan Kelly Kiltubrid to Allen Gaels, Jerome McWeeney Kiltubrid to Eslin (though was he not aughnasheelin?). Heard some stories about that one! don't know the Keaney fella but Pat Moolick was a fair coup, played with his brother for Kildare back in the day. gaelsboy (Leitrim) - Posts: 687 - 21/10/2025 00:17:59 2640898 Link 0 |
Which Leitrim gaels players do you think will get a call up after their win? Outside of their current panelists of course. southleitrim_mafia (Leitrim) - Posts: 159 - 21/10/2025 08:13:26 2640900 Link 0 |
Arek and Radek id agree with bundles of potential. I have seen Allen Gaels a few times and Tobin is ok his pace seems to be gone from lack of commitment and he has skills but I dont think he would cut it at intercounty. Ciaran Mc Morrow is a very talented footballer but theres not much scope on his frame to develop. As a intercounty team its the likes of Caleb Duffys athletic profile we should be after, but I wouldn't be calling him till we see how he preforms next Sunday. He was non existent against Annaduff and had a tendency to disappear when the Gaels need him most. Looking at the final I was looking forward to seeing Mc Kiernan from Ballinamore he was very good in semis but Jack Flynn done a great job on him I thought, didn't give him a inch of space all day. Has it been the best championship in Leitrim in years probably and if the Jones throw there lot in with Leitrim Gaels for the next few years and not bow out after 1 year, they would be widely accepted more and appreciated, and they would drive the standards of Leitrim football up.
