New minor management has been chosen and is subject to ratification. Will be a good appointment."
This is good news.

And who is the Minor manager and backroom team?

It seems that the U20 job will be in unison with the Senior management team again?

Hopefully both sets of players are still on S&C plans? Or otherwise not having a manager will be the least of our problems.

Interesting. Is Ciaran Kennedy with him (as they were together managing St Michaels in Roscommon)? Good to see that we're finally trying to promote develop homegrown coaches as we have a short supply of them.

Be interesting to see who is with him. From speaking to supporters and players involved with last years panel Kevin Stritch had a huge impact and the county board should look to keep someone like that involved. Longford also employed a similar strategy last year and had Gerry Seavers from DCU/Dublin coaching their team that bet Dublin and won the Leinster championship.

When Joyce was asked to manage the Connacht team it was agreed that he'd have all Connacht county managers at the time part of the management. Of course some are now speculating that he'll be the new Galway coach.

Declan Bonner favourite for job apparently Niall Carew and Steven Poacher all mentioned plus O'Hara. I like the idea of Bonner myself

You do realise Conor Flood didn't play one game for Allen Gaels in the championship nor did Cillian McGloin & Conor Farrell missed half the championship along with Peter McGowan

Cillian McGloin did well to get in considering he never played a minute of championship football

he's still involved with a club team at the moment. is this why its not being announced until he finishes with them.
I don't know if its that's a step back or step forward for Leitrim football.

I think there is a stronger panel of Leitrim county footballers currently in the land of Australia than there is in the land of Leitrim.

Incorrect. You should change your name because you clearly don't know all. Killer ( Cillian McGloin ) scored Melvin Gaels first goal to inspire their Istanbul like come back. He also set up the winner.

Pete McGowan played a pivotal part in the victory too. Him booting the ball at a drumshanbo lady in the crowd was the turning point in the game.

So both are worthy mentions!!!

After the behaviour of Mickey Graham, I hope the county board can get their appointment right. Of the names mentioned, I have never been a fan of O Hara, but he has been within the county structure and is a genuinely enthusiastic and passionate fella, who has won silver ware and plays expansive football. Bonner on the other hand has no vested interest in Leitrim. Won nothing with an excellent Donegal outfit. And has Erne Gaels playing very negative stuff I hear. So O Hara for me.

On another note did the county board have a contract with Graham. If so leaving for another job would be a breach.

And a fair kick in the stones now that he's headed to Galway.

Shur O'Hara is still involved so that's not the reason. From what I've read, a name will be put to delegates in 2 weeks. I'd be happy with O'Hara or Bonner with my preference for O'Hara. Either way it's a building job for 2026 onwards and O'Hara might be the man better placed for that. Wouldn't be got at all on Niall Carew... I could warm to Stephen Poacher as part of a backroom team but it would be some distance for him to travel from Down to Carrick 2 / 3 times a week. For that reason I don't think he would be suited.
