Replying To GerBo:  "Any word/update on some of the older players if they are still part of the panel? I know Dowd confirmed Davy Murray is taking an extended break and will return, but what about the likes of Shane Killoran and John McManus? Have they opted out or were not asked back? Personally myself, I thought Killoran struggled last year (as you might expect after years away from Inter-County and into his 30s), so I would be stunned if he is still involved. However, I thought McManus was one of our better players last year and I would've felt he'd still have something to in 2026"
MC Manus opted out
Killoran not sure if he opted out or wasn't asked back his teaching in Ros town so he is about the place not travelling as was in the past

16 to 18 players unavailable for selection this weekend. And I say 16 to 18 because it remains to be seen if two of the 10 Brigids players will commit for the season ahead.

Could have done without the injuries on top of all the Brigids,Strokestown players and David Murray out as C Cox, C Heneghan,U Harney,C McKeon would certainly have featured this this weekend.

Anyway is what it is and best of luck to the Roscommon players and management tomorrow in Fitzgerald Stadium.
