Comfortable win impressive performance in match we simply had to win. Higgins, Stack, Ruane, Cregg, Enda among our stand out players. Big one in Castlebar next Saturday now.

Really good win. Niall Higgins was very good.Brian Stack and Enda smith were outstanding. Pleased for Shane getting his goal. One more win should be enough to keep our division one status

Good win today against a poor Monaghan team. As Galway play Monaghan at home next week, it is likely that Galway will win, meaning that we will have to pick up another 2 points (at least) to be safe. The scoring difference today might well make a difference. I think we have about + 13 on Galway. (-2 & +11). Several players played very well today, particularly D. Cregg, E. Smith, E. McCormack, B. Higgins. Great save and some good kickouts from B. Carroll. Team gradually improving and if that continues for the next couple of week we have a chance of staying up which will be a great achievement if accomplished. I am certainly more optimistic than I was after the Tyrone & Galway games.

That's incorrect. The Galway v Monaghan game is in Clones not in Galway. Monaghan poor today but they may have a response in them at home next weekend. We need one more win at least. Well done to Roscommon team and management today. Daire Cregg will be a big player for Roscommon.

I hope that draw with Galway doesn't come back to haunt us like the draw with Tyrone in the Hyde a few years ago when we got relegated.

Delighted with performance today. Much more urgency and pace in attack. Higgins was outstanding. Real tigerish coming out from the back. Stack and mckormack organised the defence and Donie smith worked his socks off. Carrols save for me was a turning point. Rumours going around the ground that there's a slight chance. Ciaran murtagh could return yet. He'd be a serious addition for championship and I'd be knocking down his door . He owes us nothing but we're still missing his eye for a keyhole pass.

Handy day at the office in D1. Excellent performance all round great to see o rourke back and great to see e smith is back at his peak. Just wish we could get Murtagh back into a more roving ff line. Hopefully when harney gets back in this will change

Well done today lads and a great reaction to last week's loss.
Need to win next Saturday as Galway v Monaghan will result in one of them going above us if we lose.
Monaghan also have to play Mayo just to make it more complicated .
Much improved all round performance today but Monaghan weren't hectic though.

Thought it was a massive improvement today compared to our first 3 games. Has to be said Monaghan were shocking bad but at the same time all we could do was beat what's in front of us. Daire cregg is going to one of the best footballers in Ireland without a doubt. Could watch him all day. He's only going to get better. I'm looking forward to seeing what Ben O'Carroll Cathal Heneghan will look like in a full forward line.

The problem with Harney is it takes him time to get up to the level required. Could be Derry game before he's in the 26. Anyone know if Ben O'Carroll is near returning

TOR and Heneghan will need more game time as well. Thought young Fitzpatrick worked very hard today and is a physical forward. I was also very impressed with Ruirdhri Fallon, great work rate, physical and skillful.

Fair play to the lads, they were really up for it from the start.

Galway will beat that Monaghan team.

Not getting at least a draw against Tyrone could come back to haunt and it would have been a draw if that late goal wasn't wrongly disallowed.

Harney wasn't far off making the 26 today if he shows well in training he could well make the 26 v Mayo. Davy Burke has already said he expects Ben O'Carroll to return for round 5 or 6.

Could have been a draw as we were still a point down..on the plus side we're improving every day and we'll be competitive in the last three games and ready for mayo in eight weeks time.

So much better today albeit Monaghan were very limited and under strength. Have given ourselves a fighting chance of survival. Still need at least 1 more win. I do fear that draw with Galway will come back to bite us given that Galway will beat Monaghan. Niall Higgins had a great game and has had a brilliant league to date. Enda is getting back to his best, his points today were top drawer, one off either foot in first half and then the one at the end was outstanding. We have a top class keeper for years to come in Conor Carroll. His composure under high ball, his shot stopping, his football skills and today his kickouts were excellent, a lot of pin point kicks. I'd say Galway regret letting him slip by. Great to have Tadgh back and Niall Daly returning. James Fitzpatrick had his best game, done well to win and hold a lot of ball into him and should have got his goal in first half.
Well done to Davy and the group. Looking forward to next Saturday against the neighbours. Hopefully we can get a performance for 70/80 minutes, if we do we won't be far away at the end.

I wonder, if everybody's fit and available, what's Roscommon's starting 15 for the championship opener on April 21 against Mayo( or New York!).

I'd like to see something like;

Carroll, Higgins, Stack, Murray, McCormack, N Daly, Ruane, O'Rourke, Harney, E Smith, Cregg, Fallon, McKeon, D Murtagh, O'Carroll

Now in reality Harney and McKeon would need some game time before they get into that team and not even sure if McKeon is definitely back for championship.

On the league, looking at the fixtures I can see Galway and Monaghan both picking up wins before the league is over. I think we'll need 6 points to stay up.
