Does the last sentence mean anything to you?

What other team in Ireland is capable of that?
The rest of the game was a tactical nightmare from the sideline!!
3 more years of over thinking on the way!!"
What other team? Ahhhhm.....I'll chance Kerry. Scored 0-14 in 15mins after HT in the qfinal, against far stiffer opposition than Meath too. Scored more v Armagh in 15mins than we scored at the '24 final in a full day's work v the same opposition.

Albeit, they were were kicking 2pointers in 2025 championship of course, even though we heard all through the NFL competition that they were 'struggling' with this aspect of the new rules, while Galway were earning a reputation as 2pt kings during this shadow boxing phase of the season.

What should illustrate something to you is how slowly we moved the ball and how reluctant we were to take on shots. Being able to move the ball quickly into the forward line is always going to be the most effective way to catch out a defence. It's when space is at its greatest, and even more so under the new rules.
Playing with pace doesn't have much to do with being able to run fast. The ball will always move much faster than any player.

Maybe die down hype will help galway never got going this year maybe it's collective issue not just one part.

Galway have capable players but say only team capable scoring 2 03 In short period I would put kerry also in that bracket of killing a game

Very true re ball and transition but I think we need to look at introducing some more pace and movement into that forward line also. A midfield of Conroy/McDaid/Maher with a half forward line of Tierney/Cook/Darcy is very similar. Needs a bit more variety and pace.

Need to find another option for inside also to augment what is there. Would like to see Mannion and Costelloe getting a solid run in there in the league, Dont think they will unsurp the likes of Finnerty/Walsh/Thompson (Comer obviously too if fit) but it would be nice to have more variety and options. To be fair they have been trying various lads over the years and no one new has really stood up in the way Thompson has

I don't think that the county scene is a top priority for club officials or a big chunk of club players as could be seen over the past twenty years of facilitating Co. team managers, as I see it from the side line empathy is not the first word I would associate with clubs relationship the process.

I just said what other tram might be capable with players they had didn't say they did do it.

Anyway who cares game is over 70 minutes and they destroyed armagh in 15 minutes.

I would still trust kerry more than galway to deliver . Not going argue over who did or dint score 203 they scored 154 pts in 15 minus va armagh so that's what I am basing it on .

Anyway like galway as county but this talk doesn't help ultimately kerry have all ireland galway didn't

Nobody's disputing that. I fully agree. The point I'm making is that we have the attacking players to do serious damage but we don't have a sideline smart enough to let them play football. Won't have for 3 more years either.

Is relegation a round robin group or is it simply semi finals and losers play in final?

I agree with that potentially seems management need be loosen reins and be more attacking I would say definitely top 3 team of attackers and best to watch

Yes, I see that alright re Galway United being let into Pearse Stadium. I wonder can we now ask United to kindly stop our underage talent involved in their soccer academy from being daftly prohibited from playing football and hurling for their clubs. Reminding them also to stop filling parents and kids in that academy with talk of professional soccer careers, when the stats are that just 3% or even English Premier league clubs' academy players make it to top flight pro level and only 7% of those lads get a renewed contract after their teen years contract! Pipe dreams being sold and club GAA years sadly being missed out on. It's nonsense.

Is the format of championship a bit pointless if the second place team gets no advantage in terms of venue for next weeks game ?

The advantage they get is that 3rd placed sides should be inferior to second placed sides on balance, so 2nd placed sides in theory will get softer prelim qfinal opponents than 3rd placed sides.

There's very little between them all a toss of coin kilannin James and Oughterard MM could easily have flipped and there should be an advantage to coming 2nd as in IC
