Amen. The effort of these young people whether it be football or hurling for our great county should be applauded loudly and proudly. No more of this sniping back and forth please.

Hopefully 2025 is the year Cian Hernon will nail down a place on the team. A player with a very high ceiling.

Replying To Pope_Benedict:  "Tipp have only won 6 in the last 60 years approx, and Cork none since 2005. Hardly much evidence of the hurling monopoly you mention there? How did Limerick's recent 5 out of 6 emerge from this 'monopoly'? Should we write it off to 'training methods' I wonder?"
A lovely even spread 3 counties have 94 titles all the rest 42 shared among the rest and only 10 won more than once. It's about as even as a Donald Trump tax break.

University Galway will be out straight away in the new year away to TU Dublin in the Sigerson. Squad looks strong enough. Potentially looking at Hernon at centre back with James McLaughlin and Sam O'Neill at midfield. Forward line will feature Matthew Thompson, Cillian O'Curraoin, Liam O'Conghaile and then Ryan O'Donoghue and Dylan Geaney.

No official word yet. I believe he was hoping to be available but it depended on getting the go ahead from his US employers. Galway playing Kildare tomorrow in a challenge if it still goes ahead. Might give us some idea.
