I'd say 5. I am predicting that Whelan will have one of his days where he is untouchable. He does at least once every summer.

We are the only two loyal for a Galway win...the rest have given up. I wonder will the lad who went to Wexford Park to "support " Galway but backed Wexford in the bookies before the game back Dublin this weekend....he can get them at 3/1 for the win!!

Replying To foreveryoung:  "I fancy Galway to win by about 5 points. Home advantage is huge in these round robin games. If it were in Parnell Park, I would fancy the Dubs to shade it by a point or two. A draw would do the Dubs but no good to Galway unless Kilkenny beat Wexford. It's good to see it all go down to the last round of games. KK have qualified for qualifiers (bar an 18 point loss to Wexford and a draw between Galway and Dublin) but the other 3 at least have their destiny in their own hands, unlike Cork who are at the mercy of results beyond heir control. And the same with Carlow and Antrim whose fate is up to themselves now. It's a shame to see either of them go down as they have brought some great hurling and excitement to Leinster this year."
A draw will also do Galway, if Wexford win.

KK are already qualified. There are no results that would place Kk and Wexford in the same tiebreak, so Kk could lose by 100pts to Wexford, and it wouldn't effect the fact that they're guaranteed qualification already.

I hope we don't spot them another 12 point lead like last year ha ha.

Galway will win by 3 or 4 points despite a good Dublin performance.

He went to Wexford to support them, not 'support' them. Not that he needs to explain himself to you, of course.

Did you go to Wexford yourself, out of interest?

If he thinks 3/1 is a good price then I expect he will back it. I don't have enough faith in Dublin's performance levels to back it myself but it is an appetizing looking price based on what we know from this year so far.

How many times can you 'consistently underperform' before you accept that this is the actual level you are at?

We will probably need to hit 30+ on the scoreboard to win, are we going to be able to deliver this, because if we can't, we are relying on either the defence putting the clamps on or Dublin not performing, and we wouldn't want to be leaning on either of those crutches too heavily

As you said, I'm expecting a big performance from Galway too and get a good win.

Would you say they are the ones digging the holes or are they the ones pulling themselves out of the holes dug for them by management? 'lol'

Replying To Galway456:  "Can anyone see us beating Dublin on sunday? After watching the dubs v kilkenny im not going in confident thats for sure. The way the dubs ran at kk, won primary possession and scored from distance means we could be having the clubs championships a bit eariler this year in Galway, obviously hopefully thats not the case but the return of cathal mannion will be essential to us winning"
If the likes of Mannion, Beano, Morrissey and K. Cooney are not playing, I can't see a Galway win.

They will likely all be missing, you should head down to the bookies :)

Cathal will be on the bench. Could see Morrissey on the bench as well.

I didn't ask him to explain himself like I don't have to explain myself to you.
Under the freedom of speech one can openly give their opinion.
Underperform is unfortunately what Galway have done so far but let Sunday be the day they turn the page and deliver.
I don't believe we need to hit a certain score be it 30+ or 30- in order to win, when we perform it doesn't matter what we score we will win because man for man Galway are better hurlers than Dublin.
I have openly said here I am going for Galway to win comfortably.
Are you going for Galway to win or are you sitting on the fence and hoping they perform?

There's a lot of lads sitting on that fence….I hope it's a strong one. Ha ha. Hon Galway!

If it avoids having to pay for a pricey ticket to see Galway underperform, I am all for sitting on the fence! lol

I take it you didn't come down to the Park Katser? And from the sound of it it looks like Tommyk isn't even going to Pearse Stadium?

Either / or - the holes are always being dug by players and / or management going back many years!

Well, it's surely either one or the other, tommy. Not both at once.

Im more hopeful than confident but i think we will beat the dubs by 4/5 points. Home advantage is a big plus for us and i cant see us beaten in the stadium in a do or die match.
