Oh he's not a rock the boat man and that's for sure, it's bad for a manager to have yes men with him.

Anyway Mikey will be a happy Rockie this evening after the Stacks beat the Narries 0:13 to 0:10, the Narries were death a double blow with Mush getting hut in the warm up and Moran getting hurt after 5 mins.

Replying To Saynothing:  "Mightn't have been a classic but as you know, players don't go out to entertain, win is their aim. Any match is better viewing than watching players on £500,000 a week walk around the pitch. Club football are the unsung heroes so great to see more games on TV."
Just reading this now, and i agree with you but is that free tv or pay per view tv , as you well know your co board was charging 15 pounds to watch your co final on Tyrone tv

Went back to Tralee yesterday, Interesting day, the speed and the skill of all players was at a very high level but many match ups cancelled each other out. The early injuries for Kerins O Rahillys must have been big blows to their game performance. Stacks benefited from getting some handyish score able frees within shooting distance. Whilst Savage played well he missed a couple of frees in first half which were crucial at the finish.
Incredible atmosphere there with it quite obvious all these players know each other very well in this huge derby fixture. Attendance was given as 8.5K but 12,000 be more accurate with kids etc. Programme very good buy for only 3 euro.

Congratulations to Stacks. They'll fancy a good run in Munster. The injuries were a serious blow to the Narries! A fine game I hear (didn't get to see it).

Does it really matter? If someone wants to watch it they'll find a way. I wasn't at county final but I was happy to pay to view it. It's a small price to pay for places like Garvahey and I'm sure the new excellent centre in Kerry is the same. Kerry taking nothing for granted and building for the future, pity the weaker teams wouldn't do the same instead of crying about one sided matches.

Ya the reff definitely looked like he was a Donaghy fan, calling a mark for him at 1 stage and giving him a free in the second half when he was fouling his marker.

Stacks fans bring great noise and colour fair play to them, I think they will be playing NCW in the semifinal, I wonder will that be played in Mallow? Or is it a home and away system.

Ah it was a decent game but like you say the loss of the 2 boys had a big impact on the game but that's football.

Didn't see match as we still have league matches but hats off to Donaghy, still battling away and a handful for any back line.

He's an animal of the highest degree, I'd hate to be marking him :-) he's as strong as an old horse.

Stacks v NCW is a Kerry venue. I assume that is Austin Stack Park.

Stacks will be clear favourites for the Munster championship. Reading between the lines of one of Pat Spillane's recent columns, it is almost a foregone conclusion.

Whether it is or not, remains to be seen. I would say of the four remaining teams , all have a reasonable tradition and are big clubs within their counties. Obviously they are going well but I wouldn't have been thinking any would have had a Munster title in sights at the start of the year..the county would have been the only focus (unlike say a Kilcoo now or Dr Crokes,Corofin,Nemo Crossmaglen of times past). This is bonus territory for all really so in that sense it is open enough.

We'll see how it pans out. Hopefully we will get three good games..no negative stuff..

Like who ,is crying about one sided matches, And dont compare yourselves to the mighty Kerry, Do you honestly think Kerry co board would charge their patrons almost 20 euro to watch the county final, on pay per view tv ,I wouldent think so ,Well what you Kerry folk think ,Add in tg4 wanted to show Tyrone final free

I wouldn't take any notice of Pat Benny, Stacks are good but the style of football they play and the lack of a marquee forward means they won't put up massive scores against other good teams but they won't concede a whole pile either because they're very defensive .

Isn't it kind of par for the course at this stage that whichever team Spillane predicts to win, actually loses? He seems to get it so wrong, so often!

I'd be no Nostradamus myself but Pat does seem to get it wrong more than he gets it right at this stage, football has changed a lot since Pats day and he seems stuck in the past.

After 2003 Páidí used to always go for what ever team played against Kerry, but that was just pure roughery :-) , God I miss that man.

I hear ya! His Sunday World article isn't something I normally bother with..

He might be right here though. It's hard enough to call. NCW wouldn't have many marquee forwards either. There most notable player is probably Ian Corbett who has been one of Limerick better players over the last decade. They have Cian Sheehan too in midfield butvI would not see them shooting the lights out. Adare would have definitely been favourites in their county final and only late scoring spree saw them win.

The weather will play its part this time of year too. NCW and Stacks should hopefully be exciting and close but we probably won't be see any team scoring 4-20..

Ennis haven't won a county for 15 years and would also have been underdogs going into the final. Barrs were favourites for final and It's not a surprise they won but they wouldn't have been looking beyond Cork. They were abysmal the last time they played Munster. That was AWAY to Crokes though who were an established top 2/3 teams in country at that time and Barrs had won county for first time in 20 years so it was no big deal.

Eire Og Ennis in Cork is different so one might expect them to win. Ennis got over their county celebrations quickly by beating Loughmore Castleiney so they will be focused it seems. They have lively forwards in the likes of Gavin Cooney and Darren O'Neil is a beast of man in midfield. It's a hard one to call also.

None of these teams have any Munster 'form'..Stacks came from a competition that includes East Kerry so that makes them favourites...whether that is valid or not,we will see shortly

Fair play to you Benny you know your munster club teams, I didn't know Ian Corbett played for NCW, he's lively from what iv seen of him.

The weather will be a big equaliser at this time of the year plus you'd never know with Covid as a team could lose a bunch of players as well.

Isn't it a pity that Eire og and Newcastle didn't get home matches in semis..I would have given both big chances in Clare and ennis but I think both will fall short..

Ya it was hard luck, I think some1 mentioned that there was a flip of a coin for home venue, I thought the Stacks and NCW would play in a neutral venue like Mallow.

I doubt if he was aware that KOR would lose their main player very early in the game and another key before the game even started.

Cork v Clare and Limerick v Kerry meetings in Munster club are actually very rare in Munster club...there has been none for well over a decade, lots of Cork/Limerick and bit of Clare/Kerry but not the other way around..not sure is there a home/away arrangement between these counties . This will kick it off now...

I would not rule out a Clare v Limerick final BTW...as Kingdom said, the weather will equalise it a bit
