Over the years I have went to the vast majority of Meath championship matches. Generally that has meant Croke park, Tullamore, Portlaois, sometimes Navan and Clones and then some in other grounds within reasonable driving distances. It's no comparison to what the likes of what someone from Kerry would have to do to go to Croke Park. Seeing comments as to why Munster final couldn't be moved to Croke Park like the Connaught final was. You just have to look at a map of the country to see large parts of Mayo and especially Galway are within more manageable driving distance to Dublin than most of Kerry or Cork.

Well they wont see it happen in a QF or semi and they still travel, so your point it hogwash. I recall thousands of Mayo fans coming to New York on a few occasions when I was based there so they follow their team anywhere. Lots of fellas on here that were giving out about Covid restrictions wouldn't even go and support their counties when there was games. Jaysiss Mick, I'm not quite sure what is involved in newting a chap in the ring but it sounds scarey, medieval even:-D. I'm thinking of that last scene in Braveheart - you preparing to go about your deadly business, unsheathing your package of torture tools and poor old Catch on the rack shouting "Come on you boys in blue" just before you unman him. avonali (Dublin) - Posts: 1974 - 26/07/2021 11:06:48 2364216 Link 4 |
Typo error Avon. I meant meet in the ring as in boxing ring but I see that typo error makes the statement look kind of weird and underground witchcraft thing lol.

How long would it take from Kerry? I remember the 2014 final. I watched it in the big tree, couldn't get a ticket, you could hear a pin drop at the final whistle. Must've been about 1000 Donegal there and a dozen Kerry. Wondered since is that normal on AI final day where the only Kerry people that travel are those that have tickets? joeteor (Donegal) - Posts: 218 - 27/07/2021 09:58:17 2364579 Link 0 |
You'd be a right lad for the ring all right Michael I'd say. Can you show me one of my pro Dublin post by the way ? catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 27/07/2021 10:23:51 2364590 Link 2 |
No on all ireland final day Kerry people do travel in big numbers with or without tickets. The big tree would nt be a Kerry haunt. Kerry fans without tickets would be in Palace bar find later and other bars. On final day many Kerry fans come from England and USA also but if its a replay it might be different.

It is pretty normal joeteor, ah you'd have a few lads that might travel in the hope they'd pick up a ticket before the game but most would have their tickets sorted. IV known a few younger supporters who've had tickets gone to dublin stayed in Barry's or the Belvedere and stayed drinking instead of going to the game but they'd be few and far between in fairness. Oh it's Michael now is it Jim? Remember when you made a balls of yourself again the other night when I was replying to Mickthemilller and you thought I was replying to CiarraíMick :-)

I have better things to be doing than trawling through your bitter anti Kerry posts. You are a sad individual really. You will make yourself sick on all that bitterness. Jealousy is a silent killer. Everytime Kerry do well you lose another day off your life. Sad.

You all loved up now and at the aul crawling again. Remember, mick isn't from Kerry according to you. Made a balls of yourself there I'd say too. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 27/07/2021 10:50:07 2364605 Link 3 |
I have sat with friends from Kerry who stayed in the pub near Croker for quarter finals and semi final games. They were doing it to have a laugh and were playing to the crowd we were with but it kind of sums it up a little. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 7907 - 27/07/2021 11:17:35 2364620 Link 4 |
That's a fair sour oul Penning there now lad. I'd imagine you don't have too much else to be at with all the time you're on here. Get a life or go for a walk or something will you instead of putting your days down like an aul woman outta that. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 27/07/2021 11:26:58 2364624 Link 2 |
Oh you made a total balls of yourself again the last day Jim even worse than you usually do and then you disappeared for a few days :-) You do provide us all with plenty of laughs in fairness :-) KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 27/07/2021 11:46:51 2364636 Link 1 |

That's right , I've a life unlike yourself who spends every waking minute obsessing about the dubs. It's amusing how much you're bothered by their success. Keep at it. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 27/07/2021 16:00:19 2364772 Link 2 |
Time zone? You're hardly Sherlock Holmes now crater. Some of us have better to be at and don't always work regularly hours. Jays above , would get up of you're **** and do a bit. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 2148 - 27/07/2021 16:04:37 2364776 Link 1 |
